Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

iturama - 25 Aug 2016 13:08 - 5030 of 12628

Trump is bad and Clinton is badder... :) It is like rating Corbyn and Smith. I pity the US electorate. Choose between a nutter and a habitual liar.

Interesting story about rape case against Trump

Nothing to do with being naive, UKIP was/is all about railing against the
establishment and the liberal left media and big business, Nigel Farage was
making a speech on the underdog which UKIP have had plenty of experience
over the last 20 odd years, and which many commentors believe that Trump
is the underdog.

Nigel Farage was there to instill the belief into the Trump side into believing that
they could succeed against the odds..Just like BREXIT!!

Haystack - 25 Aug 2016 14:19 - 5033 of 12628

Yes. Supporting and endorsing another rabble rouser both with redneck racist supporters

iturama - 25 Aug 2016 14:28 - 5034 of 12628

All I know is that when the chips are down, I'd rather have rednecks going over the parapet with me than seeing bleeding heart liberals disappear from view.

Haystack - 25 Aug 2016 14:32 - 5035 of 12628

But actual life does not involve going over the parapet. In that eventuality, psychopaths and crazies and the gullible are useful.

Fred1new - 25 Aug 2016 14:35 - 5036 of 12628

It,

I also would prefer the rednecks and fellow travellers over the parapets first.

VICTIM - 25 Aug 2016 15:21 - 5037 of 12628

I had a parapet once , a Norwegian Blue it was , it's dead now though , took it back to the Pet shop , the trouble I had .

grannyboy - 25 Aug 2016 15:23 - 5038 of 12628

Haystacks comes across as one of those leaders from the saying....

Lions led by Donkeys....Haystack being one of those Donkey's...He Haw!!!

In other words a prick.

The thing about 'travellers' is that they can get away with incredible feats of civil crime because they are people of 'no fixed abode'.

ie. There is nowhere to send the default summons if you want to sue them for damages, default, non-payment, not doing the job properly, cheating you with a bad job (eg, the beautiful layer of tarmac is later found to be only 1/8th of an inch thick in places).

Now they know this - but most of their punters don't. Cheating stupid punters and moving on to the next job in a new area becomes a way of life.

Check out the sign writing on the side of their white vans and trucks. If there is a phone number then it will only be a mobile one. There's never a landline phone number or an address.

One used to be able to assess their wealth in horses. Nowadays, it's been usually been laundered into property, Mercedes (or similar) cars and extremely luxurious caravans.

PS. Take care never to get cursed by an old gypsy lady. You could end up dying from laughing yourself to death.

VICTIM - 25 Aug 2016 16:03 - 5040 of 12628

The problem is they come continually from Ireland . On Anglesea they want to build 5 new transit camps to cater for them , it's a never ending problem . The newer ones just dump themselves on private property dump their waste and filth and move on leaving councils to clear up after them . Basically they are vermin .

cynic - 25 Aug 2016 16:16 - 5041 of 12628

thoroughly agree
we get that problem around here, but not to the same degree

iturama - 25 Aug 2016 16:39 - 5042 of 12628

They have no education or consideration of others.
When I referred to parapet, or parakeet, depending upon the reader, i was talking metaphorically. Our troops, police and emergency services are trained to run towards the danger while others turn tail and run away.

Blimey, an article worth reading from the Graun. (not you Fred, you'll have to ignore this one)

Fred1new - 26 Aug 2016 11:44 - 5045 of 12628

Max,

Interesting article.

Farage and UKIP have passed their sell by dates.

The followers or supporters will in a year or two's time be seen as old aged punk rockers.

jimmy b - 26 Aug 2016 11:59 - 5046 of 12628

If we don't get full Brexit you will see that UKIP has only just started ,Farage is watching closely to see we get what we voted for .

Haystack - 27 Aug 2016 00:36 - 5047 of 12628

If it's true, it will please a few people
.
Theresa May will trigger Brexit negotiations without Commons vote
