little woman, further to the above re pesticides http://www.pesticides.gov.uk

stockbunny - 31 Mar 2004 11:54 - 5033 of 23498

Morning fellow campers!
A large mug of tea and a choclate eclair would be nice whilst
I ponder over what I want for lunch.....
Little Woman - you're lucky once the weeds were out you still
had a lawn! Daren't remove our dandelions and moss or it would be
a bare patch of mud!! Sun's shining, Snoball is feeling better,
Gd sounds happy, Socs is his usual self as is JeffMack - all is
happy in the garden then today!!! (except the weeds!)

little woman - 31 Mar 2004 15:34 - 5034 of 23498

Thanks for the advice etc snoball :-)

I need to pop out and send a share certificate (US quote company!) that been collecting dust to the US - registered post..........

Socrates - 31 Mar 2004 17:40 - 5035 of 23498

Good evening all, funny old day. Still my game plan has gone up a bit. Fairly neutral on my proper portfolio, the dogs are actually showing some progress but my mainstays are all a bit red and will most likely stay that way until they start to get closer to divi day.

snoball - 31 Mar 2004 17:50 - 5036 of 23498

evenin' Socs.

Socrates - 31 Mar 2004 18:30 - 5037 of 23498

Hi Snoball.

Stockwabbit
I had a garden like yours once, daughter was allergic to dandelions so had to give it the business. One application of a good lawn weedkiller and some grass seed raked in did the trick. Mind you, I thought bunnies liked dandelions, for lunch that is.

Crocodile - 31 Mar 2004 20:20 - 5038 of 23498

3 shorts was a little crazy in a bull market but still surviving :-)

Socrates - 31 Mar 2004 20:50 - 5039 of 23498

Crocodile
It's a bit early for shorts, too draughty around the Trossachs. Will you be at the NEC antique fair in a couple of weeks?

jeffmack - 31 Mar 2004 21:03 - 5040 of 23498

Croc
Survival is the name of the game

Golddog - 31 Mar 2004 21:29 - 5041 of 23498

Well there is 8 weeks remaining on the Investment Game (it's now or never Hilary!), and it's a shame it did not end today cos i could of won (mutley snigger!!) It is very close at the top and i would say that someone in the current Top 8 will win it - place yer bets!! :-)

I will pour myself a double! Cheers all.

snoball - 01 Apr 2004 00:10 - 5042 of 23498

78,000????????

vasey - 01 Apr 2004 08:48 - 5043 of 23498

well done, Poochy! I'm surprised my SMWH short hasn't yet produced a more emphatic rise up the leaderboard, but if it issues a profit-warning within the next 8 weeks, I reckon anyone in the first NINE could win the game!

vasey - 01 Apr 2004 08:48 - 5044 of 23498

well while I'm editing a mysterious double-posting, I think I'll make a pot of coffee and put some freshly-baked pain du raisin on the counter. Help yourselves....

snoball - 01 Apr 2004 13:47 - 5045 of 23498

yum, yum, thanks vasey.

stockbunny - 01 Apr 2004 15:24 - 5046 of 23498

Hello (sniff) life's a bitch! (attichoo!)I've got another
lousy cold virus thing (sniff)so I'll sit here with my box
of Kleenex by the fire. Large brandy coffee please.....

Socco - I do love dandelions personally but my feelings are
not shared by all in the household! Poochy is it my imagination
but are those who were leading the game sliding down towards
the rest of us rather than us climbing up to reach them???

Snowie!!! Left you a message yesterday on the RTR thread,
noting we were moving up, hopefully thats still the case today?
Haven't looked yet been trying to type (sniff) and work.

jeffmack - 01 Apr 2004 15:27 - 5047 of 23498

Are dandelions the same as wet the beds

jeffmack - 01 Apr 2004 15:40 - 5048 of 23498

The latest list of runners. I think only 40 run so if none drop out from 1 to 40 then 41 to 44 will drop out
Grand National Field

stockbunny - 01 Apr 2004 15:41 - 5049 of 23498

Possibly I have heard them called something similar to
that in folk lore, but the phrasiology was a little more
basic! (giggle)

If it stays in to run I'll have Southern Star because it
fits well with me and my line of work!

snoball - 01 Apr 2004 17:55 - 5050 of 23498

Sorry to hear about the cold, stockbunny. Missed the RTR post as haven't been in much the last few days. Jolly good news though. That should help the competition portfolio along.

Socrates - 01 Apr 2004 18:33 - 5051 of 23498
