Good evening all, funny old day. Still my game plan has gone up a bit. Fairly neutral on my proper portfolio, the dogs are actually showing some progress but my mainstays are all a bit red and will most likely stay that way until they start to get closer to divi day.

Hi Snoball.
Stockwabbit
I had a garden like yours once, daughter was allergic to dandelions so had to give it the business. One application of a good lawn weedkiller and some grass seed raked in did the trick. Mind you, I thought bunnies liked dandelions, for lunch that is.

It's a bit early for shorts, too draughty around the Trossachs. Will you be at the NEC antique fair in a couple of weeks?

Well there is 8 weeks remaining on the Investment Game (it's now or never Hilary!), and it's a shame it did not end today cos i could of won (mutley snigger!!) It is very close at the top and i would say that someone in the current Top 8 will win it - place yer bets!! :-)
I will pour myself a double! Cheers all.

well done, Poochy! I'm surprised my SMWH short hasn't yet produced a more emphatic rise up the leaderboard, but if it issues a profit-warning within the next 8 weeks, I reckon anyone in the first NINE could win the game!

Hello (sniff) life's a bitch! (attichoo!)I've got another
lousy cold virus thing (sniff)so I'll sit here with my box
of Kleenex by the fire. Large brandy coffee please.....
Socco - I do love dandelions personally but my feelings are
not shared by all in the household! Poochy is it my imagination
but are those who were leading the game sliding down towards
the rest of us rather than us climbing up to reach them???
Snowie!!! Left you a message yesterday on the RTR thread,
noting we were moving up, hopefully thats still the case today?
Haven't looked yet been trying to type (sniff) and work.

The latest list of runners. I think only 40 run so if none drop out from 1 to 40 then 41 to 44 will drop out

Possibly I have heard them called something similar to
that in folk lore, but the phrasiology was a little more
basic! (giggle)
If it stays in to run I'll have Southern Star because it
fits well with me and my line of work!

Sorry to hear about the cold, stockbunny. Missed the RTR post as haven't been in much the last few days. Jolly good news though. That should help the competition portfolio along.

All this talk of 'osses made me and the mrs. do a peculiar thing today.
We went to the nearby 'yearling' sales held at nearby Arc en Seul stud farm, Wellington, Western Cape and bought ourselves our first real live racehorse.
She's a 15 month old chestnut filly called Sweet Revenge, extremely good looking young lady, well mannered and nuzzles up to yours truly, hope to have a mug shot for the cafe pin-up gallery soon.
We have high hopes for her in our first ever venture onto the 'turf' but she's not expected to be ready to race until new year.
This w/end we have the J&B Met race at Kenilworth, Cape Town which is the
eqivalent of uk Derby, we shall be there in our newly aquired 'owners box',
oooohhhhhh.....

Oh that's great littlewillie, our very own Cafe race horse. (i know it's yours but i like to think we share everything here). I will go get my whip. It's a good job we have just built the stables out back.
snoball, what's up?.....78,000????????
I'm sorry about the quality of dolphin kebab, rather chewy and i might send it back, next week it's whale on a stick!
Vasey, Chase me chase me.
Bunny, You must be feeling down to keep getting these colds, Now sit down in the Cafe comfy chair and i will make you a nice cuppa and massage your rabbit feet. Just close your eyes and imagine your on a palm beach with the sound of clear blue water lapping at your feet! (that means im getting wet!) The sky is deep blue and the sun is warm with just a cool breeze whispering over your face.
Pint of Bods please with an umbrella.
