THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Fred should they get on their bikes and move to a third world country?! I don't mind paying my taxes to help people in this country, but I do object to all the money our government dishes out to other countries. There are appeals every ten minutes on telly by various charities like The Red Cross if people in this country want to contribute to overseas aid.

make it a dam let it flood .should never have built on it .
if you live by a river they brag our nice it is . then when it floods the gov must act
no they do not putting up barriers is wrong it just moves the problem to some one else . stop spending tax payers money to protect homes that should be knocked down
nature is nature .

doodlebug4 - 17 Nov 2014 13:15 - 50463 of 81564

TANKER, I don't live anywhere near a river or flood plain, but since my local council stopped unblocking the roadside drains I might as well live on, or near a river!

cynic - 17 Nov 2014 13:19 - 50464 of 81564

ah, but who gave planning permission to build on flood plain in the first place?

Fred1new - 17 Nov 2014 13:25 - 50465 of 81564

WLFE. A local investor took a drive last week to see their new project in cornwall , and had a word with one of the building contractors there, and was told it is ahead of schedule, ready to start in April

cynic - 17 Nov 2014 13:43 - 50471 of 81564

not necessarily anything untoward in that, as he could have had outline permission ages ago and just needs to tweak the final spec and drawings
