How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Bloody hell, just has a real arse twitching moment on the last hoss race. Ended up with two unfilled lay bets, but got them filled in play for my biggest win to date.
:-))
Don't want to make a habit of that though!!

"real arse twitching moment"
LOL! Nothing like profit to sooth the twitches. Any reason why you didn't close before it went in running, or was that a tactic?

basically a cock up scrip, had two filled back bets, but didnt get the corresponding laid bets filled. Decided to go with the race in play and wait for an opportunity to get the bets matched. Was on the favourite, so thought I would have a good chance as long as it didn't fall. Could have traded out earlier for a smallish loss, but took the risk.

Well done, I'm having a pretty good day over here at the moment. So general conditions seem much better today.

12 out of 13 races in profit today. Profit line enhanced considerably by my earlier fluke. Footy tomorrow. Good luck folks.

Played the last 20 mins of the Eng U21 match this evening. All seemed to go in my favour again, must have been my lucky day. :-)

Gut feel is that Scotland have to be value now against Belarus. I am backing them now and will trade out ahead of the cross over point if they haven't scored by then.

Spotted an over round 'card' on the Eng / Aus First to score last night. Took the money by making a book. Saw the same thing happen again, but for some inexplicable reason laid the whole 'card' and ended up with significant liability should an Austrian player score. Thank you referee for the penalty and Lampard actually scoring from it! :-))

Scrip the odds may have been attrative, but unfortunately Scotland were pretty crap and from what I saw didn't really looked like scoring. However managed to scalp a few ticks during the last 15 minutes, so a profitable game for moi. :-)

Skill isn't it?

Yes, Scotland was a pity. But the wind has been behing them recently so this is a big set back for them. Thought they could have pulled something out the hat. I also ended up scalping at the end.

Took some extra momey from the Eng Under 2.5 / over 2.5 goals. Didn't seem a great deal to be had from the Match Odds.
Embryonic skill perhaps Scrip, but it's been a good two days that's for sure. :-)

Beckham sending off was very unfair I thought. One of the reasons I watch less and less footy is the so called professionals attempting to persuade a referee to send an opposition player off.
More interested in making money by trading the matches to be honest.

Does Daly want to win or not?

I laid Daly at 1.25 thinking there may be a chance he would blow it, tempeted to let it run. I remember him shooting the highest ever score on a par 4 on the PGA tour one year. Can't remember where or when though. Something like a 16, simply because he couldn't keep the tee shot on the fairway.
