Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

There's no such a thing as an 'off shore tax scrounger'. That's just the typical socialist politics of envy yet again."
Oh do shut up "Mouth Head". If I class them as "off shore tax scroungers" then I am merely echoing the conclusion of millions of others and it's nothing what so ever to do with emotion, it's about people (usually with more money then sense) who can but scrounge and hide to avoid through "off Shore" methods paying their whack.. I don't suppose you would be part of that low life scum would you?

With a dividend, it's the recipient shareholder who pays the tax. So it's where the shareholder is domiciled that matters, rather than the company. It's not taxed at source.
The company used to pay Advance Corporation Tax at 30% on the dividend which used to affect cashflow, but that was scrapped a long time ago.

Stan,
You really are one of the most obnoxious twats on this forum!!!
But please be careful you don't blow a gasket, as I'm aware that you're not in the best of health, and I wouldn't want it to affect the games of walking football for geriatrics that I know you like to play.

Fishfinger,
Why do the words pot, kettle and black spring to mind?
Btw, there's a big difference between having a ruptured ACL (which is a sports related injury), and having a lard arse caused through excessive beer swilling!

When it comes to obnoxious twats on here you won that title years ago.. so do us all a favour and do please consider dropping dead which if I'm not mistaken I enquired if you had considered doing so a while back.

touched a raw nerve on tax avoidance have i - my question to you of course you never answered from which one might infer several things?
touched another raw nerve on Ingenious have i?
can't stomach that it might be found that HMRC have cocked up yet again?
as a simple starter, you might like to ponder why HMRC wanted a delay to which, i am glad to say, Ingenious objected and won their point
you might also want to check for how many years Ingenious has been running, the raison d'etre for it being set up and under what rules, and the reasoning for those rules
that does not mean that Ingenious have not overstepped the mark, but it's not a bad place to start from

Stan is 100% right why on earth are they 'off shore' if its not to cheat and thieve.
And not to just cheat HMRC but to cheat every person living in this country.
People should NOT FORGET if someone does not pay monies as would be demanded by HMRC this leads to a tax revenue shortfall and a budget deficit as spending will be greater than incoming revenues which leads to borrowing and interest charges.
The loan and interest charges are then dispelled on the entire population which could involve a fall in pubic spending or an increase in taxation in one form of another.
Remember any uncollected tax, wether it be avoidance or evasion is going to effect you as an individual.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tax Scumsters should be tried and put in jail.

Cyners,
No, not taxed at source. The biggest benefit of a dividend over salary is the NI aspect (or rather, lack of).

I agree that the film investment vehicle is probably legitimate. The company has been funding films for years. There are a number of similar firms. There are also several companies doing something similar with trees as an investment method and tax shelter.
