THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

MrT - i'm afraid i have no idea at all of the workings or otherwise of FCA, nor of their collaboration with US Fed ..... indeed, i don't even attempt to play with exchange rates, and libor and the like is certainly well beyond my few remaining aged brain cells (fred reckons i have none left at all!)

Fred1new - 21 Nov 2014 15:58 - 50926 of 81564

Manuel,

I think you borrow them sometimes from the chef.

cynic - 21 Nov 2014 16:27 - 50929 of 81564

enjoy spain .... hope the weather is a little less inclement than here ... at least you should be able to get some good fish to eat, even if you're stuck in the nasty ex-pat fleshpots around Valderrama

goldfinger - 21 Nov 2014 16:32 - 50930 of 81564

Post of the day.

hilary - 21 Nov 2014 12:24 - 50911 of 50931

Haystack is quite correct. Cameron is doing a fantastic job as PM, Osborne is doing a great job as Chancellor, and the Tories will comfortably win most seats in May........ends

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

has Hilary been on the whacky tobacco.??????????????????????????????????

Labour and the SNP imo is far better than labour on there tod.

The SNP are far more left wing which we need in this country now.

We need to get shot of all the right wing deception and start afresh and be honest with the electorate not lie through our teeths like under the tories.

Peter Bone is going to cross the floor this weekend they say.

That will be the end of Deceptive Dave.

Fred1new - 21 Nov 2014 16:53 - 50931 of 81564

Was that Deceptive or Septic Tank Dave to go with his U-bend turns?

Hey, I wonder if he will will cross to U-KIP as well?

goldfinger - 21 Nov 2014 16:58 - 50932 of 81564

Wouldnt have the slimey deceptive creep Fred.

doodlebug4 - 21 Nov 2014 17:03 - 50933 of 81564

Labour and SNP would be a marriage made in hell for this country -and guess who would be wearing the trousers given the choice of Miliband or Sturgeon. SNP are on a mission to gain independence and couldn't give a stuff about the Conservatives or Labour. In the event if a hung parliament Sturgeon will wheel and deal and negotiate the best possible outcome for the Scots.

goldfinger - 21 Nov 2014 17:05 - 50934 of 81564

Just been reading todays thread, havent had time to post had a stonking day on the market and a stonking week in general.

But HAYS do us all a favour.....stop kidding yourself.......what waffle.

Youd think the Tories had won last night the way he and Hilary have been trying to protect them.

ITS ALL FALLING APART HAYS CRUMBLING INTO DUST.

I know this Milly would have sacked MAY, HUNT, that F'ING Bloke and who else ohh yes dopey LANDSLEY.

He doesnt dither, hes gets shot when they have cocked up unlike DAVY who dithers and lets them carry on making a F UP.

hilary - 21 Nov 2014 17:09 - 50935 of 81564

Fishfinger,

So what's your explanation for the fact that Conservative odds of getting most seats have been shortening on a daily basis throughout November (including today, in the wake of the supposedly disastrous Rochester and Strood by-election), whilst Labour's odds have been drifting over the same period?

cynic - 21 Nov 2014 17:10 - 50936 of 81564

of course, assuming SNP wins a bundle of seats, they may not formally align with anyone

hilary - 21 Nov 2014 17:11 - 50937 of 81564

Let's face it, Fishfinger, you need to get out a bit more. Why don't you leave your cloth cap and ferret at home for a few days, and head on darn sarf to see what happens in the real world?

doodlebug4 - 21 Nov 2014 17:19 - 50938 of 81564

What a load of utter bollocks gf. The result was supposedly going to be a complete disaster for the Conservatives, instead of which Miliband succeeded in snatching a defeat out of the jaws of a supposed victory by diverting attention to a silly minor issue which he blew up totally out of proportion.

Haystack - 21 Nov 2014 17:25 - 50939 of 81564

It makes no difference who the SNP will side with. If Labour loses most of its Scottish seats then the Conservatives will have the most seats. Maybe not a majority, but the most. The party with the most seats gets the first chance to form a government

goldfinger - 21 Nov 2014 17:30 - 50940 of 81564

he he he ha ha ha ha ho ho ho ho you have been on the whack backy hilary LOL LOL LOL

You mean down the Queen Vic............good god they have a party every other night, make no wonder productivity is falling in this country. They must be pissed up all day at work the next day

doodlebug4 - 21 Nov 2014 17:30 - 50941 of 81564

Fred1new - 21 Nov 2014 17:32 - 50942 of 81564

db4,

There is not a cat's chance in hell that SNP will do a deal with the tories.

Especially, as they will see Cameron has renegaded on HIS said "devolution", which he can't or won't give them.

Mind he could promise, then another of his Referendum at the same time of the one on EU, which he has promised, but won't occur.

A referendum, which will never have the words of IN or OUT.

Cameron has overplayed his hand and the majority of voters know it!
=======

But personally, I would like to see a central left coalition which would represent the majority of voters and the UK society.

========

Devolution is a daft idea, but which government was responsible for the centralisation of government power during their periods of office ?

You have got it in one, Maggie.

What is needed is honest representation of the different areas of the UK and changes of the 2 tier government we have at present with proportional representation of both tiers.

goldfinger - 21 Nov 2014 17:34 - 50943 of 81564

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

if it ever came true...........which it wont.........

Im afraid your in it to win it by yourself Hays.

Dream on dick head.

cynic - 21 Nov 2014 17:39 - 50944 of 81564

honest representation
not a snowball's chance; i doubt that there has ever been such a thing in politics
even when there was a wartime coalition, it was not open and honest, which of course it couldn't possibly be

at least with a plutocracy you know exactly how the land lies :-)
