You're all potty!

Socrates - 04 Apr 2004 18:58 - 5095 of 23498

You don't have to be, but it helps!

jeffmack - 05 Apr 2004 08:55 - 5096 of 23498

No one like us we dont care.

Had a fantastic weekend in Chester/Old trafford, topped off with a great display by Dennis and the boys. Arrived home at about 11:30 yesterday evening, tired and emotional.

Bring on the European tour.....

Well done Jeffers, nice to se some 'old dogs' have their day.
Shame your 'nasty little five footer' has never grown up; still dishes it out and gets others sent off for innoculous stuff returned, compared to what he himself dishes out; still thats the nature of the beast and I guess they're not intelligent enough to see through him.

Wonder what he'd be like, on his own in a back alley, scared sh*tless I suspect.

Still think its Wilko thats [Eric Morecombe] the planner and Ernie is the urger.

Can you beat United, well we did on All Saints Day, May 1st. 1976.....1-0..

So, yes, of course you can my son!!!

little woman - 05 Apr 2004 14:02 - 5098 of 23498

Errrrr - is it my imagination, or is there a bit of "cheating" going on?

Would someone like to total up the current leader of the Investment game investments and confirm if they are correct?

Socrates - 05 Apr 2004 17:46 - 5099 of 23498

Sherry Trifle

snoball - 05 Apr 2004 18:24 - 5100 of 23498

Interesting point little woman. Something doesn't add up but then maths was never my strong point.

Socrates - 05 Apr 2004 18:44 - 5101 of 23498

It is quite possible that the figures don't add up. Don't forget that some have made a trade during the game so that the overall profit/loss will not be a straightforward sum of what you see.

Socrates - 05 Apr 2004 19:37 - 5102 of 23498

More Sherry Trifle please, much, much more.

Jeffmack
Where are you? Are you out there celebrating a 6% rise on PTG?

jeffmack - 05 Apr 2004 19:42 - 5103 of 23498

Socs
I am here, I've done enough celebrating yesterday to last me until Cardiff on 22nd May.

BTW, well done to the National winners.

Golddog - 05 Apr 2004 20:40 - 5104 of 23498

Hellllllllo.

Littlewoman, Yes if you add up my totals in the Game there would be a difference from the original 80k we started with! but like Socks pointed out some of us have made a trade and mine was selling BAE for a nice profit which is not included in the tables. There is no cheating going on that i know of! Infact if you add up your own total it will be 3,322.69 short, but this sum is what you made when you sold lloy for anl.

Socks, Your cheque is in the post! hush hush.
:-)

Jeffmack, nice win with the footie.

littlewillie, have you bought that race horse yet?

Pint of Cafe Brew please.

Pappy - 05 Apr 2004 21:00 - 5105 of 23498

Golddog - 05 Apr 2004 21:08 - 5106 of 23498

Hello my old friend nice to see you again - really is. You know you are welcome in here anytime. I'm fine btw, not changed at all! How about you?
:-)

little willie - 05 Apr 2004 21:16 - 5107 of 23498

GD...Yup, we got her and she's a beaut, "Sweet Revenge".
She hurt herself slightly in the horsebox when she was being delivered to the nursery yard, not thought to be at all serious.
This is where she'll spend her next seven or eight months growing up and then being 'broken in', after that it'll be off to the trainers yard where she'll learn her trade, hopefully!!
Today we went over to see her and spent a frustrating half hour trying to teach her to eat a carrot without any luck [she's never had them], we'll persevere though.

We're just starting to swop weather systems with you guys, had two days of indifferent weather, middle 20's and understand you're moving into lovely days and evenings...lol...

Golddog - 05 Apr 2004 21:25 - 5108 of 23498

littlewillie, moving into lovely days? Where! :-) I wish you all the best with Sweet Revenge i'm sure you can get her into racing shape and what a delight it would surely be to see your very own horse win a race or two in the future. If you get another you should call it 'The Pooch', but don't forget to feed him/her with plenty of Bods.

Golddog - 05 Apr 2004 21:28 - 5109 of 23498

littlewillie, If you want to send me a photo of Sweetie for the gallery please do, only i'm rather lonely in there at the moment!

hightone - 05 Apr 2004 21:38 - 5110 of 23498

LW we do get SA racing over here so when she starts to race you will have to let us know we might even get our xmas dinner out of her or do you plan to race her abroad to ??.

HT.

This_is_me - 05 Apr 2004 22:22 - 5111 of 23498

Heading rapidly for the ground not the moon!

snoball - 05 Apr 2004 23:11 - 5112 of 23498

Back to break even again I see, thanks to Reuters.

little willie - 06 Apr 2004 12:18 - 5113 of 23498

Hightone...We intend to race her you heathen, not have her for Xmas dinner, we'd much prefer a goose..[wouldn't we all Hils?].

Abroad would be strictly for dreamers and Group 1 winners and I doubt our little lady will reach such heady heights, blue hens and all that!!
