Cybit the best telematics play (CYH)

Still Waiting - 21 Sep 2003 22:33

The chart for this stock says it all.

The company is quickly becoming a real gem in the telematics field, over the last month the co. has announced re-seller contracts which will bring in min. 2m or >30% of last years T/O alone.

The company is already experiencing massive organic growth so the co. should be profitable now following last years 500k loss.

The co. has approx. 6m cash and is in one of the hottest growth areas at the moment.

With a market cap. of 25m this will be re-rated x2/3 minimum within the next 6-12 months IMHO.

MM buys went through on Friday with T/O continuing to build, one to put on your monitor...

I believe March 04 is the final results period, so i'd personally expect any new substantial deals to have been announced way before then. However, I do feel as though CYH should be higher in price. They posted a profit for the first time and have large orders on the books. Is anyone here an accountant? If so, is there something hidden in the interims I'm missing? Help appreciated.

blakester - 03 Dec 2003 14:57 - 516 of 3104

I'm beginning to think all hypers are MMS

skids - 03 Dec 2003 14:59 - 517 of 3104

I've had another look at the latest news and interims and I think CYH need to anounce another deal worth 1m plus, to hike the price further than the 3.5 resistance. But I still believe this stock is worth holding (and topping up) because it has two deals worth 3,300,000 for the next 12 mths already, and the Mobiles in cars law change will bring in more business. The current up/down/down movement I think is down to a lack of deal announcements.

IMHO.

I've printed the interim report out and will let you know if I find anything.

But I will make a comment - on 23 Oct the company announced the new partnership agreement with Lex, but on 25 Nov they announced that the agreement had been signed. The market does not like this way of reporting news. What would have happened if the agreement didn't get signed?

Does anyone remember a company called AIT (AGP)? (Still trading, but now under AIM) They made a major contract announcement and the share price increase substancially. A couple of months later they then disclosed that the contract was never actually signed and the other side had pulled out of the negotiations. Anyone who invested in the company at the time would have seen their entire holding become worthless.

Well that was boring! The accounts were nothing special and there are a lot "indirect" provisions so there should not be any nasty shocks in the future.

The only "telling" item is the 20,000 provision for a future tax rebate! This means that although the company made a net profit before tax - by the time they reverse off the future income provisions, and the future expenses provisions in the Corporation tax computations - they expect the company to have made a loss for tax purposes - but this amount is far less than before as they made a 125,000 tax credit provision in the previous 12 month against that years losses. So all in all the company is doing a lot better than before, but not a well as in the Chairmans report which was actually quite positive. I think the next 6 months should be a lot better!

Many thanks little women.

little woman - 03 Dec 2003 15:42 - 521 of 3104

Before I forget - if you work on a 20% Corporation tax rate - the 20,000 tax credit provision is on a projected loss of 100,000 for the 6 months.

chrissie, what do you mean you promise????A very bold statement indeed!

from another bb,

News on CYBIT in todays Shares:

Cybit: profit enabled

Shareholders in telematic service provider Cybit (AIM:CYH) have endured three years of losses, never received a dividend and seen the shares fall to 0.27p earlier this year. Yet, chairman Neil Johnson and three executive directors have recently bought a total of 1,155,000 shares at 3p.

At the AGM, the chairman indicated that turnover in the first quarter was expected to be slightly in excess of 2.1 million. This compared with total sales in 2002/03 of 5.1 million. He was confident that Cybit would break into profit during 2003/04.

Since then, the group has signed a deal with Lex Vehicle Leasing and HBOS which is expected to deliver over 3 million in annual revenue.

A pre-tax profit of 350,000 is expected next year. Once Cybit makes pre-tax profits, it will be able to benefit from tax losses of more than 2.7 million.

Also, two issues raising 5.35 million have strengthened the balance sheet.

little woman - 04 Dec 2003 10:02 - 527 of 3104

Shares magazine have CYH as a SELL - ending with the following comment:

"The opportunities are obvious, but competition remains critical. At least the recent 5 million fund raising leaves Cybit stable financially"

Golfclub12 - 04 Dec 2003 10:07 - 528 of 3104

A very ambiguous statement.

So as said by one of you guys hold medium /long :)

The good thing is that the rises are getting a little higher each day which should be a good sign that things have started to settle and upward progression is the only way.
