Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Fred1new - 05 Sep 2016 09:16 - 5115 of 12628

With Dumbo and Vicky in mind.

jimmy b - 05 Sep 2016 09:16 - 5116 of 12628

Good on the French truck drivers ,they have had enough ..

cynic - 05 Sep 2016 09:17 - 5117 of 12628

easy parallel ......
did anyone (french) care in the slightest that mitterand had a long term mistress and a daughter with her?
did it affect the way he conducted his professional life?

is this keith vaz incident really any different?

as i never read the story - did not return from our cycling trip until last night - it may be that vaz's job entailed looking after public morality (hahaha; public merely has prurient interest) or that these rent boys were below the legal age of consent

VICTIM - 05 Sep 2016 09:19 - 5118 of 12628

Freda you are a sad old man .

jimmy b - 05 Sep 2016 09:25 - 5119 of 12628

Fred's just pure thick.
-----------------------

If it's ok with you cynic that's fine ,it's not ok with me.

Fred1new - 05 Sep 2016 09:27 - 5120 of 12628

Manuel,

Which route did you use getting back from the S?

Fred1new - 05 Sep 2016 09:32 - 5121 of 12628

PS.

Dumbo, to me, seems to be just a prurient little "man" aware of the faults of others, delighting in them, but not aware or recognising his own problems.

jimmy b - 05 Sep 2016 09:34 - 5122 of 12628

I don't have a problem Fred it's you who like a child calls people Dumbo .

VICTIM - 05 Sep 2016 09:37 - 5123 of 12628

Yeah and vicky too .

grannyboy - 05 Sep 2016 09:56 - 5124 of 12628

The French have a different view on their politicians, in their culture its ok
to have extra marital affairs.

The behaviour of Vaz and MANY other politicians is do as I say not has I do,
in the real world they call it hypocrisy...

jimmy b - 05 Sep 2016 10:00 - 5125 of 12628

Like a lot of modern politicians ,he's a hypocritical lying self serving scumbag.

grannyboy - 05 Sep 2016 10:20 - 5126 of 12628

By rights the debacle in Calais should've been sorted years ago when it was
sangette the French 'persuaded' the Labour government to take thousands
from the camp, it didn't stop another camp being set up, ie the 'jungle', by
just razing a camp to the ground dosn't mean its going to stop individuals
invading the French coastline in their efforts to get to the UK, there needs to
be an holding center where these 'immigrants can be processed, and if found
to be there under false pretence's then they should be returned to the first free
country they arrived in, then if the authority's there find that they shouldn't be
there should be returned to their country of origin..

And if this seems longwinded, then it should've been resolved in the first place of the
immigrants arrival, instead of whats being allowed to happen, with just shooing the
immigrants northwards.

Merkels CDU party down to 3rd place.

Couldn't agree more Jimmy. Total phony. Butter wouldn't melt in his mouth in public but it needs washing out with carbolic in private. Public figures should expect public scrutiny. Its the way we work. Who cares what happens elsewhere? Doesn't make it right. Maybe that's why so many want to come here.

cynic - 05 Sep 2016 10:42 - 5130 of 12628

St-Malo with Brittany Ferries

o'night outbound is fine, but a bit of a bore coming home as there's only a daytime sailing
with thought, perhaps we should have found out who does o'night home

btw, no problems either with clearing immigration in Portsmouth
apparently it was taking about 1.5 hours a couple of weeks back

Fred1new - 05 Sep 2016 11:03 - 5131 of 12628

Manuel,

I thought you might have chosen that route.

Thinking of my route if I decide to go down south later this year.

St Malo is a beautiful City and the coastline around it is very attractive.

jimmy b - 05 Sep 2016 11:15 - 5132 of 12628

You wouldn't want to go the Calais route would you Fred ,you might get mugged by a group of the lovely people you so want to come to the UK .

MaxK - 05 Sep 2016 11:19 - 5133 of 12628

Well, it's kicking off big time around Calais, the tractors are on manouvers cos the frogs have had enough of the bullshit from politicians.

They want the camps cleared and the invaders gone.

I don't think the pols will be able to fob this off much longer.
