I am no Brown fan, but the only thing good I can say is that he did bring in the national minimum wage for low paid workers and made a tremendous difference to lower paid workers. However, now for the bad, he ruined the pensions industry by taxing the profits on pensions investments to the tune of £50 billion year on year, and squandered money by creating an army of millions of non-jobs / civil servants. He never fixed the problems of Britain when the good times rolled, but instead left Britain with the biggest debt in living memory.

Successes:

Claiming that the boom times were down to his work yet we all know that it was done to policies implemented yrs earlier as it always takes yrs to see the fruits of changed made in an economy.

Claiming/Lying that he (superman) had saved the world/global economy

Claiming/lying it was his idea to make the BoE independent something that had been in the pipeline b4 he had come along

Pretending to be normal with his strange freakish smile when he knew the cameras where on him...the psychiatrists in this country have a lot to answer for letting that man run around free...in the community

Failings - Believing his own claims and lies I mean there where so many failing with this strange man where do I start and how long have u got?

He managed to sell off most of our gold reserves when their value was at the lowest ever.
He managed to run the country into the gutter which we are all paying for now.

I am not that mad yet!

The reason for this is most likely because the Labour Party has now developed too many negative connotations. It is a similar situation to that seen in the 90s with the Conservative Party. The trouble is that each and every government is going to be constantly attempting to make up for what the previous government messed up regardless of the party. It is impossible for any government to please all of the people all of the time. Gordon Brown will be the next Prime Minister because there is no better Labour candidate out there at the moment. To be honest there are no real parties out there at the moment either - they seem to have converged and are each trying to tackle the middle ground, TRYING to please the most people.

Yes it has cost the public 100 billion pounds-his raid on pension funds. Once they were the envy of the world but now they have become the worst in the space of only nine years. And he has the gall to believe he should lead us. The man couldn't administrate a creche properly. I think he should be sentenced to do community butlering for either John Prescott or The Beast of Bolsover Dennis Skinner.

Not forgetting the billions he has given to Africa instead of using the money to fight the poverty he has caused in this country!! I hope a) is does NOT become the next leader and b) For the hardship he has caused many hard working Brits whilst throwing OUR money away and rewarding the unemployed and immigrants that he die a slow painful and VERY lonely death!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe that he is very popular in Scotland - a country with a population of four million but only 160,000 net tax payers. Thanks to Gordon, Scotland is financed by London and the South East of England.

It is the b. lying and boasting which came in with this tory bunch which irritates me.

When they came in, everything was wrong due to the Labour government's incompetence.

Now after 4 years of their mismanagement the economy is worse and the standard of living and welfare is worse.

Guess what it is due to the last government and all the other governments in the world, while they plunder for themselves. They stink.

The picked their own policies a cocked it up, while idiots like Haze praised them.

They are allowing the bankers, pension fund managers to get away with murder.

They have ducked the city, their financial backers and remain frightened of their own shadows.

They deserve to be dumped and followed up with investigations into their relationship with the city.

The one thing I am satisfied with that they can't easily terminate their period office and the period of negligent mismanagement will be evident in May
