THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Universal Credit has become a complete shambles - Rachel Reeves

Rachel Reeves MP, Labour’s Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary, said:

“Iain Duncan Smith’s claim this morning that almost 40,000 people are claiming Universal Credit shows why this programme has become a complete shambles. The latest figures from the Department for Work and Pensions show just 17,850 people are claiming Universal Credit, less than one per cent of the million people Iain Duncan Smith said would be on the new benefit in April 2014.

“Labour wants Universal Credit to succeed but the Government’s mishandling of the programme has led to huge waste and delays with over £130 million of taxpayers money wasted on failed IT. It’s another example of Tory Welfare Waste.

“A Labour government would pause Universal Credit for three months to examine whether the programme can be rescued from the shambles David Cameron’s Government has left it in.”

TANKER

Why are you going to vote Labour, after they said they will not have a referendum on coming out of the EU . Why don't you vote UKIP ? UKIP will cut foreign aid as well as points system on all immigration, if you vote for Labour we stay in Europe and have no control over EU immigrates, out of the EU we could control people from all parts of the World.

TANKER - 25 Nov 2014 10:31 - 51222 of 81564

I do not want the liar Cameron back in simple the man is a vile horrible liar along with is arsewipes

MaxK - 25 Nov 2014 10:33 - 51223 of 81564

They're all liars!

cynic - 25 Nov 2014 10:41 - 51224 of 81564

so MrT, do you think any of the other parties and their leaders are truly any different or decisive or after anything other than getting power - aka selling their souls to the devil, as i recollect farage saying?

aldwickk - 25 Nov 2014 10:42 - 51225 of 81564

TANKER

So you would want a liaring Labour government instead , and you don't mind immigrants from all parts of the World coming into the UK

TANKER - 25 Nov 2014 10:54 - 51226 of 81564

cynic . aid . tha is the point the uk is now a cesspit and yes they ae all liars and crooks
we need a revolution and clear all of the scum out .

Haystack - 25 Nov 2014 11:19 - 51227 of 81564

Labour will be nowhere near the biggest party. Even if you project 5% onto the GE it wouldn't be enough. The number of seats that Labour may lose in Scotland could be up to 14% of their total. The Conservatives are well on track to be the biggest party.

TANKER - 25 Nov 2014 11:39 - 51228 of 81564

hay our con mp will lose is seat and he wil defect before next election to ukip

MaxK - 25 Nov 2014 11:43 - 51229 of 81564

But the Scots-Nats would back a labour gov over a tory one.

Chris Carson - 25 Nov 2014 11:46 - 51230 of 81564

UKIP wouldn't, would they? :0)

Haystack - 25 Nov 2014 11:47 - 51231 of 81564

They may not get the chance. The party with the most seat gets to be first to try and form a government. That could be a minority government which would be more stable now we have fixed 5 year parliaments. It is now much more difficult to unseat a minority government.

Haystack - 25 Nov 2014 11:51 - 51232 of 81564

Don't forget that Labour plus SNP only came to 264 seats last time. Conservatives got 307. The total of seats in Scotland hasn't changed, just the possible split.

The DUP will side with the Conservatives. They used to be part of The Conservative and Unionist party.
