THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Haystack - 26 Nov 2014 14:13 - 51357 of 81564

Just loony lefty activists. We have a few on here. Not to be taken seriously though.

MaxK - 26 Nov 2014 14:14 - 51358 of 81564

Three proven liars, why would anyone vote for them?

Fred1new - 26 Nov 2014 14:25 - 51359 of 81564

George.

Looking after the economy:

The economy was growing under labour before 2008 and was recovering until the genius Osborne took over with ideological attempts to smash the Welfare services by unnecessary harsh form of austerity economics.

There was problems with the underlying market under Brown and too rapid a growth may/was have occurred.

The Major problems was corrupt financial services and their race and greed for profits.

Cameron and his crew after 4 years have not address properly the possible corruption within the Financial service and their "bookies", many of the latter outside the UK Borders.

They in fact benefit from "city" pursuing their activities.
=======

If money had been ploughed into the infrastructure, ie. building social housing, filling in the bloody potholes, the economy would not have contracted and welfare payments would have been less. ETC.

Money into the above would have trickled and diffused into the general swirl of money and supported the economy and enabled a slow growth which was occurring under Darling to do so.

No, Labour is not less competent than the Confidence Tricksters party, they may have a different concept of decency and utilise "taxation" differently.

Also, they have an awareness of the less fortunate in society and awareness of the restrictions they have due to the gross inequality of chance has and this may give them a different concept of what "hard working" means.

Because they're worth it....

Haystack - 26 Nov 2014 14:42 - 51361 of 81564

The MPs did not choose the pay rise. They have no control over it. An outside body sets the pay. Some are refusing the increase, but it will still be paid.

Ipsa or whatever they are called was set up by government, if your mob really wanted to make changes then your bunch of Tory Crooks could make those changes. Clearly your executive don't.

Haystack - 26 Nov 2014 14:48 - 51364 of 81564

I hope you are wearing your cloth cap and stroking your ferret as you type.

Haystack - 26 Nov 2014 14:53 - 51365 of 81564

I am sure you don't want to know that IPSA was introduced by the Labour government in 2009. If the government starts meddling with it, then it is not independent anymore.

"IPSA is independent of parliament, government and of political parties. In everything we do, we focus on our main duty; to serve the interests of the public."

MaxK - 26 Nov 2014 14:55 - 51366 of 81564

Surely if this DIPSO org says mp's need an 11% pay rise, the ordinary workers need the same.

Stan - 26 Nov 2014 15:00 - 51367 of 81564

Oh do belt up you Tory Tart H/S.
