Will this increase or decrease the likelihood of terrorist actions in America, Europe and the rest of the world?
If you were a member of a family murdered in this conflict, would you be seeking revenge?
Should Tzipi Livni and Ehud Olmert, be tried for war crimes if or when this conflict comes to an end?
What will the price of oil be in 4 weeks time?

Its frightening isnt it, how we teach our kids will have a big factor on their views in life, its how hatred escalates,
i was mortified to see the video clips posted here of young gaza children who looked about 5 years old being taught and encouraged to hate and kill,
What hope is there for peace,?
ps fred has an habit of not answering questions directly, and on the rare occasion you do get an answer, he will go all round the houses and still come out with the same shite anyway,
hes usually so politically correct, unless of course the agenda doesnt suit ,
consistency isnt his strong point,

Ruth, you have him well and truly figured out. Maybe he will be able to figure himself out one day. I saw some gaza videos many years ago where mothers slice babies heads and they are taught nothing but hate from birth. It scares the hell out of me.
I've also seen the palestinian propoganda machine 'setting up' some of their videos. They are so good at it it would put the bbc to shame.
Also, has anyone noticed how the Hamas militants are now patrolling Gaza in shiny new 4x4 pickups instead of the usual battered taxi's etc. Were did the money come from to buy these if the population is starving?
Oh well on with the balanced debate......

G. Another intelligent remark. Does it represent your level thought.
I will await the change of American foreign policies by the New American administration.

A change in American foreign policy is unlikely to make any difference to the situation, even if the new presidents middle name is hussain.

the ex england cricket captain was also so named, and that too made no diff to the team's performance!

Cynic, of course i agree , most of us are only witnessing whats happening in gaza via the news,
its just that Fred has in the past ridiculed anyone who believed or made opinions based on what they read/saw.and now suddenly hes spouting it all off as being accurate/trustworthy now it suits his agenda
Hes usually of the opinion that innocent until proven guilty, its just his double standards and hypocrisy that im highlighting,

would you then agree with my premise that, having read and seen what one can and made one's own evaluation, then that is the "truth" untill proved to the contrary?

Cynic, i dont think your understanding my argument,
Fred will jump on the back of anyone who forms their opinion based on news/media reports, but he then goes onto do the exact same when it suits his agenda, he cant have it both ways,
To answer your question though
yes i make my opinions based on what i read /see and the law of probability too,
but it only forms my opinion, its not truth and nothing but the truth is it?
But if someone attacked my home, or threatened any of my children, you can bet your last dollar i will do everything and anything in my power to overcome that threat,
So even though the medias perception/coverage is that gazza is being treated unfairly,im afraid i have different views /opinions based on law of probability/reality which over ride their bias/slant on the reporting, and first and foremost as mentioned above, protecting ones own has got to be priority,so even though in freds words "i wouldnt understand" i do fully understand my priorities if i was placed in the same position, and on that basis i think hamas are ultimately the more guilty party of the two sides,
hope this clarifies my position, i would rather there be no deaths, but you cant expect any nation to just sit back and not respond to attacks,

i don't care what Fred writes as i don't bother to read.
however, there are degrees of mis or disinformation, or to take it to a banal level ..... one often gets two totally honest but different reports from eyewitnesses to say a football match reported in two different local papers .... both reports are still the "truth".
depending on ones inclination, you may accept one or other report as being accurate, or for that matter, neither ..... unless an eyewitness whom you trust comes along and tells you something totally different, you will regard the opinion that you formed as being the "truth"
MM ..... i think we are actually in tune, as from what you write, you say you will filter and then form your own view as to what is the "truth" - until proven to the contrary

cynic give it up, Gaza is yesterdays news rather like Northern Ireland became most ordinary people aren't interested in this squabble over a piece of real estate...... move on.

who rattled your cage???? ..... many many (un)thinking people are more than interested in how this disaster in Gaza pans out ..... like it or not, the conflict over that "piece of real estate" has the potential of leading to a far wider conflagration than (totally unimportant) Ireland.
