THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

It is the Conservatives that are the nice party. Labour are the nasty party. They represent the real meaning of a fascist party where state control of everything is the ultimate aim. Luckily the public are not enamoured of Labour's Il Duce.

MaxK - 27 Nov 2014 19:03 - 51583 of 81564

How do you run up a £3m legal bill over what someone said to someone else?

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/nov/27/andrew-mitchell-counts-costs-plebgate-libel

Haystack - 27 Nov 2014 19:11 - 51584 of 81564

Mitchell has no expenses on his side as his solicitors took the case on a contigency basis. It was a no win, no fee deal. The costs are the other side and I am sure the figure will come down a lot. There is a process called taxing fees, where they have to be justified pound by pound.

Fred1new - 27 Nov 2014 19:14 - 51585 of 81564

Haze,

Get back to your bunker, Goebbels may arise again and give you some suggestions on propaganda. Take Chappy with you, he would benefit from the ghost of times past!

Max.

The cost of arrogance, privilege, pride and stupidity.

He could just have thought, apologised and moved on.

But he was like other members of this government too conceited to do so!

The public are the plebs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MaxK - 27 Nov 2014 19:31 - 51586 of 81564

I'm not questioning you Haystack (in the Stan and Fred mode)

But how can that be?

OK, the no win no fee thingy works for Mitchell's end, but what about the losses (legal fees) incurred by the opposition??

MaxK - 27 Nov 2014 19:32 - 51587 of 81564

I think you might be right Fred (swoon)

Haystack - 27 Nov 2014 19:57 - 51589 of 81564

Mitchell will have to pay the other side's expenses but the current estimate will probably come down.

COO / CFO & Strategic Initiatives Rachel Parr £131,970
Global Programmes Director Fergus Drake £113,300

StC has just given Tony Blair its “Global Legacy” award. What kind of people like Tony Blair? People who earn over 100,000. I am not sure that if you put money in a tin, or bought from their charity shop, you thought you were paying that many fat salaries. There are also gold plated pensions and other benefits. Justin Forsyth, the CEO, of course worked in Tony Blair’s neo-con policy unit.

As I have written before....

Haystack - 27 Nov 2014 21:20 - 51595 of 81564

There are serious problems coming for Russia. The Rouble fell 3% today on falling oil prices.

Russia's finances are almost completely tied to the oil price.

Haystack - 27 Nov 2014 21:31 - 51596 of 81564

The oil price may hit $60 per barrel

http://money.cnn.com/2014/11/27/news/opec-oil-prices/index.html

Crude oil is down 30% since June and analysts warn prices could fall even more now that OPEC countries decided not to cut output.

Lower oil prices could also halt the U.S. shale oil boom, as analysts indicated that 40% of the production scheduled for 2015 would be "uneconomic" if prices drop below $80 a barrel.

In the past, OPEC has stepped in to cut production to support the prices during times of turmoil.

But with Russia and the U.S. each producing around 10 million barrels a day, OPEC is now playing geopolitical hardball to see who can stand up to the pressure of lower prices.

Notice how the pile of hay tries to change the subject when "Con" party associations are made -):

goldfinger - 27 Nov 2014 21:56 - 51598 of 81564

LOL yep,

Just caught up with the Mitchel thingy, as far as the public are concerned Mitchel is as guilty as Jordan denying shes had her tits done for the 8th time.

Of course he is guilty and found guilty, his representative could have asked for an appeal there and then but one was not received. He can of course put one in within a certain time limit but the lack of it speaks volumes.

Hes be done.

Hes going to get done by the public.

And Camoron looks a twa- supporting him all the way.

Hays you are in a an induced Crack state of denial.

goldfinger - 27 Nov 2014 21:59 - 51599 of 81564

Camoron still trending, a bit of a shock as he fell out of the list this afternoon, just goes to show what a tough time hes having........
