THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

per yesterday's little bit of fun, i'm sure hils makes a good domme :-)

hilary - 28 Nov 2014 15:32 - 51664 of 81564

You'll give my husband ideas, Cyners!

:o)

goldfinger - 28 Nov 2014 15:35 - 51665 of 81564

If Hils got a dodgy leg what is she doing going skiing??????

Anyway a sports injury as you called it is just an excuse for being not fit.

Its always the same sports people who dont do the right training or the wrong training that pick up sports injuries........and thats a fact.

Look at Wiltshire at assanal, dodgy ankle injuries and why because he doesnt look after himself properly, caught smoking on tour , smoking in this day and age and hes supposed to be a pro. !!!!!!!!!!!!

I played semi pro Rugby Union for Leeds Carnegie prop forward and in 17 years never had a so called sports injury, I was fit, fit as a fiddle and still am.

Sports injurys are excuses for not being fit.

Haystack - 28 Nov 2014 15:38 - 51666 of 81564

You don't need a good leg for apres ski.

doodlebug4 - 28 Nov 2014 15:39 - 51667 of 81564

You might be physically as fit as a fiddle gf, but there's something seriously gone wrong with your head.

hilary - 28 Nov 2014 15:40 - 51668 of 81564

Well if you had any idea what you were talking about, Fishfinger, I'd explain it to you in more detail. But, suffice to say, ACL ruptures have nothing whatsoever to do with fitness levels.

hilary - 28 Nov 2014 15:48 - 51669 of 81564

And, Fishfinger, if ever you're in the Portes du Soleil, please feel free to let me know and I'll happily guide you safely down le Pas de Chavanette.

Fred1new - 28 Nov 2014 15:49 - 51670 of 81564

ACL,

You are on the downward path.

Shows signs of muscular weakness.

That is how many start to deteriorate.

Down and down, gloomier and gloomier.

Buy a wheelchair now.

doodlebug4 - 28 Nov 2014 15:51 - 51671 of 81564

I'll pay you a tenner if you safely guide him over the nearest precipice hilary!

Fred1new - 28 Nov 2014 15:52 - 51672 of 81564

That is a funny name for a part of your body.

Fred1new - 28 Nov 2014 15:53 - 51673 of 81564

give DB4 the first refusal!

hilary - 28 Nov 2014 15:56 - 51674 of 81564

I'd pay you a tenner for that honour, Doods!

goldfinger - 28 Nov 2014 15:57 - 51675 of 81564

Hilary last week you compared your injury to Stans and said you had a sports injury.

So come on either it is a sports injury or its a condition that can be picked up in general.

Personaly If I was you id cut back on the alcohol and the rich food.

Eat more carrots and root vegetables plus plenty of salad.

And you need a lot more sex as it burns calories off only second to swimming.

Im 40 now but dont look a day over 25.

doodlebug4 - 28 Nov 2014 16:13 - 51676 of 81564

The thing is, sports injuries can be cured but if you are born stupid - which gf clearly was - then there's not a lot that anyone can do about it.

Shortie - 28 Nov 2014 16:23 - 51677 of 81564

I think Cameron has finally lost the plot...

Chris Carson - 28 Nov 2014 16:24 - 51678 of 81564

LOL! What a Dick!

Shortie - 28 Nov 2014 16:33 - 51679 of 81564

When will Cameron realise that the only way immigration will be controlled, is when immigration policy is set in Westminster and not in Brussels.

hilary - 28 Nov 2014 16:36 - 51680 of 81564

Fishfinger,

Athletes commonly rupture their ACL after a short period of inactivity. As they start again, the knee twists, the ligament tears, and that's it. It's so innocuous. Ligaments are like elastic bands - once they've snapped, they won't self-repair

But, with the right exercise, you can build your surrounding muscles such that they do the work of the ligament, and you can lead a normal life and participate in just about all sports. I ruptured my ACL 11 years ago, and I just wear a fancy knee brace with geared hinges for tennis and skiing. I was going to have a surgical reconstruction on it earlier this year, but opted out a few days before the operation because they told me at the pre-op assessment I wouldn't be able to fly for 6 weeks, and I was already booked to go to HK in a fortnight's time. I might have it done next April or May.

Now, if you think that sounds anything like Stan's condition of obesity caused by having a chip on each shoulder and ten in his belly, combined with excessive beer swilling and pie munching, then I'll be happy to stand corrected. And while we're on the subject of diets and lifestyle choices, didn't you confess yourself to being diabetic not so long ago?

Shortie - 28 Nov 2014 16:39 - 51681 of 81564

There is nothing here on immigration policy for Cameron to negotiate within the EU... The idiot simply wants his lime-light when he should be getting the job done and taking power back.. Since when did we ever ask the permission of Europe or seek another nations nod of approval over such matters!

goldfinger - 28 Nov 2014 16:49 - 51682 of 81564

Thats true. I actualy was in a car crash got knocked down and in a coma for over four weeks.

A few weeks later on a check up It was found that I was suffering from type 2.

It had nothing to do with my general health. I certainly am not over weight, what 6'9" and 18 stone 8 pounds.

In fine fettle.

But look Im not trying to make this a personal thing, but you must have been unfit in the first place or didnt have the right preparation or management after your period of inactivity.

Any way have a good holiday and be careful on the pist.

Both on the snow and in the bars.

Look forward to your return, you can tell us what went on, bedroom swapping and all that.
