THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Hilary last week you compared your injury to Stans and said you had a sports injury.

So come on either it is a sports injury or its a condition that can be picked up in general.

Personaly If I was you id cut back on the alcohol and the rich food.

Eat more carrots and root vegetables plus plenty of salad.

And you need a lot more sex as it burns calories off only second to swimming.

Im 40 now but dont look a day over 25.

doodlebug4 - 28 Nov 2014 16:13 - 51676 of 81564

The thing is, sports injuries can be cured but if you are born stupid - which gf clearly was - then there's not a lot that anyone can do about it.

Shortie - 28 Nov 2014 16:23 - 51677 of 81564

I think Cameron has finally lost the plot...

Chris Carson - 28 Nov 2014 16:24 - 51678 of 81564

LOL! What a Dick!

Shortie - 28 Nov 2014 16:33 - 51679 of 81564

When will Cameron realise that the only way immigration will be controlled, is when immigration policy is set in Westminster and not in Brussels.

Fishfinger,

Athletes commonly rupture their ACL after a short period of inactivity. As they start again, the knee twists, the ligament tears, and that's it. It's so innocuous. Ligaments are like elastic bands - once they've snapped, they won't self-repair

But, with the right exercise, you can build your surrounding muscles such that they do the work of the ligament, and you can lead a normal life and participate in just about all sports. I ruptured my ACL 11 years ago, and I just wear a fancy knee brace with geared hinges for tennis and skiing. I was going to have a surgical reconstruction on it earlier this year, but opted out a few days before the operation because they told me at the pre-op assessment I wouldn't be able to fly for 6 weeks, and I was already booked to go to HK in a fortnight's time. I might have it done next April or May.

Now, if you think that sounds anything like Stan's condition of obesity caused by having a chip on each shoulder and ten in his belly, combined with excessive beer swilling and pie munching, then I'll be happy to stand corrected. And while we're on the subject of diets and lifestyle choices, didn't you confess yourself to being diabetic not so long ago?

Shortie - 28 Nov 2014 16:39 - 51681 of 81564

There is nothing here on immigration policy for Cameron to negotiate within the EU... The idiot simply wants his lime-light when he should be getting the job done and taking power back.. Since when did we ever ask the permission of Europe or seek another nations nod of approval over such matters!

goldfinger - 28 Nov 2014 16:49 - 51682 of 81564

Thats true. I actualy was in a car crash got knocked down and in a coma for over four weeks.

A few weeks later on a check up It was found that I was suffering from type 2.

It had nothing to do with my general health. I certainly am not over weight, what 6'9" and 18 stone 8 pounds.

In fine fettle.

But look Im not trying to make this a personal thing, but you must have been unfit in the first place or didnt have the right preparation or management after your period of inactivity.

Any way have a good holiday and be careful on the pist.

Both on the snow and in the bars.

Look forward to your return, you can tell us what went on, bedroom swapping and all that.

goldfinger - 28 Nov 2014 16:52 - 51683 of 81564

Shortie hes all hot air and bluster, nobody takes any notice of Camoron anymore.

Im suprised his back benches havent kicked him out yet. Farage lives off him like a leech.

Plenty of time though for him to be replaced.

hilary - 28 Nov 2014 16:57 - 51684 of 81564

Fishfinger,

I'm sure the likes of Theo Walcott, Paul Gascoigne and Marco Van Ginkel were all unfit when they ruptured their ACLs too. But, that aside, who said anything about going on holiday?

doodlebug4 - 28 Nov 2014 16:59 - 51685 of 81564

If nobody takes any notice of Cameron any more gf then why do you feel the need to post incessant derogatory comments about him? And as for suggesting that George Osborne has an illegal drugs problem on this public forum - you are treading on dangerous ground.

TANKER - 28 Nov 2014 17:00 - 51686 of 81564

well we have watched the clown called Cameron taking the piss out of voters thinking they are stupid like he looks
is speech today was just a party broadcast for the idiots that believe the liar
not one of is proposals is fact just talk and cheap talk at that the man must go to save the party .
as for the pleb Mitchell no morals no honesty must be kicked out as a bloody liar
who would ever trust the liar again

TANKER - 28 Nov 2014 17:01 - 51687 of 81564

so doog what was wrong with him he was on something for sure out of is mind

goldfinger - 28 Nov 2014 17:02 - 51688 of 81564

I assumed you were going on a skiing holiday?

Paul Gascoigne fit??????? I doubt Gaza was ever fit through his whole career, but he had god given natural talent, and Walcott I have heard is another Wiltshire gambler smoker etc etc.

Van Ginkel never heard of him, is he a cockle picker/farmer.?

goldfinger - 28 Nov 2014 17:04 - 51689 of 81564

TANKER and Hays said yesterday he wouldnt have to pay anything??????? 3 million they reckon. Was Hays on Giddeons whacky backy?

goldfinger - 28 Nov 2014 17:07 - 51690 of 81564

TANKER he was stoned 100% out of it.

doodlebug4 - 28 Nov 2014 17:09 - 51691 of 81564

Tanker, you can't accuse a public figure like Osborne of being on illegal substances. You are not just putting yourself at risk of being sued, but you are putting Moneyam at risk as well. Mam shouldn't allow these allegations to be published.

doodlebug4 - 28 Nov 2014 17:11 - 51692 of 81564

Go on gf, you are not just digging yourself into a hole - you are taking Mam with you.

TANKER - 28 Nov 2014 17:16 - 51693 of 81564

so doog what and why have their been no comments on is well being does no one close to him care . if it was one of mine I would call the doctor .or ambulance

TANKER - 28 Nov 2014 17:19 - 51694 of 81564
