Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

I beg to differ V, he doesn't deserve what he gets.

I know what you mean , I meant in the payback side .

Chris Carson - 08 Sep 2016 16:16 - 5186 of 12628

You mean from the unfortunate single men, who fought for their country and are forced to live on the street. Wonder if they feel aggrieved perhaps?

jimmy b - 08 Sep 2016 16:17 - 5187 of 12628

Q Fred with one of his snide comments .

cynic - 08 Sep 2016 16:18 - 5188 of 12628

try the real world of dealing with international customers ..... now that really can test one's patience and more

there are legit cases where non-specific migrants deserve priority in housing or other benefits, but the wholesale rung-jumping which would appear to be commonplace, is certainly wrong

btw, accepting or even welcoming multiculturism is a farflung cry from the approval of an open door policy

Over who ? name me one .

jimmy b - 08 Sep 2016 16:21 - 5190 of 12628

I can't think of any case where an immigrant should be put before one of out servicemen who are living rough.

Fred1new - 08 Sep 2016 16:21 - 5191 of 12628

Grainyboy,

Heil Hitler!

jimmy b - 08 Sep 2016 16:22 - 5192 of 12628

Told you the moron would arrive , a man with no opinion .

VICTIM - 08 Sep 2016 16:25 - 5193 of 12628

He thinks he's Mother Teresa jimmy , he has visions of self proclamation , only visions of course .

Fred1new - 08 Sep 2016 16:25 - 5194 of 12628

Only Dumbo's opinion is valid.

Up the Reich.

jimmy b - 08 Sep 2016 16:26 - 5195 of 12628

Dumbo ? your as thick and stupid as a brush Fred.

cynic - 08 Sep 2016 16:28 - 5196 of 12628

hmm
perhaps wrote a bit too speedily ...... but i don't think genuine political refugees and the like should start from the bottom rung either

for example, do you think a single parent, just arguably thrown out of home (may actually be contrived) deserves to be a top priority?
and what about that "regular boyfriend" who lives with her 3 or 4 nights a week and the she with him for the balance?
should either have free housing?

what about people who refuse to work more than 16 hours a week as otherwise their benefits are impacted?

i've prob gone off track a little, so slightly sorry

Fred1new - 08 Sep 2016 16:29 - 5197 of 12628

Try, "you are"!

cynic - 08 Sep 2016 16:31 - 5198 of 12628

.

cynic - 08 Sep 2016 16:31 - 5199 of 12628

if that was aimed at me, then on yer bike :-)

Fred1new - 08 Sep 2016 16:39 - 5200 of 12628

Manuel.

Not at you this time.

I almost fell off my bike this pm.

UMMMM. I was sober.

What about the people working less than 16hours a week on Zero hour contracts.

Are they counted in the employed list?

-==-=-==-=

But I am interested to see the Brexit plans.

But here Boris and partners are working on excuses for the future failures.

Heard that some are trying to figure out how to blame Attlee for the mistakes he made and saying their failures are due to him.

Or was it Lloyd George.

VICTIM - 08 Sep 2016 16:46 - 5201 of 12628

Are you riding you are bike and looking at the internet Freda at the same time , shocking abuse of the highways .

cynic - 08 Sep 2016 16:49 - 5202 of 12628

i admit to being uncomfortable with zero hours contracts
i think the concept was probably good, but the application has led to much abuse ...... just as has forcing courier drivers and others to be self-employed

that said, you have (inevitably!) distorted what i actually wrote :-)

grannyboy - 08 Sep 2016 16:56 - 5203 of 12628

"btw, accepting or even welcoming multiculturalism is a far cry from an open door
policy."

Just ask the Germans(and the Swedes) who are now finding out to their cost what multiculturalism open door immigration means.

cynic 5198

"what about people who refuse to work more then 16 hours a week as otherwise their benefits are impacted?

There is many reasons why people are reluctant to sign off and get a job(sic)
when these jobs could be zero hours, temporary and low paid.
