MATALAN - Looking good again! (MTN)

jules99 - 18 Nov 2003 11:15

I missed out on this one from last rise, hopefully I caught it with the horns this time round...

Recently hit 2.67p...been slowly creeping down...

I think everyone on BB's made money except me...this time Im on the right side.

TA.

Nominee Account with Hargreaves and Lansdown.

They are good as all orders are efficiently executed, but I never get shareholder circulations or in this case perks.

I hold a mere 250 ish at the moment.

stockbunny - 07 Jul 2004 09:25 - 53 of 140

Watching today on MTN - still looking for the 'bottom out' on BFP
Guess as my BFP are held online (nominee a/c basis) I wont see a discount
card either - rats! Never mind....

seawallwalker - 07 Jul 2004 10:16 - 54 of 140

I have emailed my broker for details of my holding including the number required then I will phone PFP and sort it out.

I will let you know what happens.

I am surprised the BFP has dropped so far.

I thought thay had only a little exposure to SBRY, not justifying the drop.

May buy more.

Would buy MTN but now it has left my bottom price by about 10p

stockbunny - 07 Jul 2004 10:22 - 55 of 140

Thanks SeaWallWalker that would be great to know if you don't mind - cheers!
I know (BFP) seems badly under-valued right now, but the whole sector was
getting mashed the last time I looked this AM,it will settle down again
but when is the real puzzle....More BFP is a very tempting prospect for me too!!
If MTN reach what I want soon I might..

seawallwalker - 07 Jul 2004 10:31 - 56 of 140

stockbunny, will do.

I done got some more BFP.

There is shareholder meeting on the 12th, whichmay affect the price towards the up.

The price is through support and I do not seeing them go bust.

Wait and see now.

daves dazzlers - 07 Jul 2004 12:47 - 57 of 140

hello all, saewall,i think that is why you never got your card {nom account,no cert} .did you get any vouchers for iceland you should of there free ,there money off in house buys.myself i dont use {nom accounts} i like to have the paper in my hand.as for big food group,i would like to buy more, but i have just bought at 1.06 , i have to many boiling up at the moment 16, so thats it for now,let me no how you get on.
bunny, going well today i think its just a correction of the last few days.tomorrow agm, will be the turning point i think may see ,,,,fingers crossed 2.20+ be lucky.

seawallwalker - 07 Jul 2004 14:25 - 58 of 140

Thanks Dave

daves dazzlers - 07 Jul 2004 14:28 - 59 of 140

seawall, are you any closer to finding out,why you did`nt get the benifits,,card/vouchers?

stockbunny - 07 Jul 2004 14:31 - 60 of 140

Bet it's the usual problem of a nominee account - if I buy in further
I'll consider running it through the other broker I use to hold in
paper - if it seems worthwhile - will check on the BFP site for details.

daves dazzlers - 07 Jul 2004 14:44 - 61 of 140

i would bunny,a lot of these accounts, keep the benifits themselves,,,,,,after all they now all your details, dont they.

have you sent them a email, you could also try this,,,www.capitaregistrars.com,,you will need your tax voucher number to access this,,,,,,,,,,ps divi on monday,,,,,yes....did you get your vouchers from iceland.

stockbunny - 07 Jul 2004 14:44 - 62 of 140

Dave - ok bear with me I am a bunny after all - but I've been on the BFP
site and can't find any reference to shareholder perks/incentives etc,
tell me where to look please if you would, cos it's driving me NUTS!! (lol)

stockbunny - 07 Jul 2004 14:45 - 63 of 140

No Dave no incentive items at all, but I may buy more and if it's
worthwhile I'll hold them on paper - if the vouchers etc outweigh
the diff. in fees to purchase them that way.

daves dazzlers - 07 Jul 2004 15:00 - 64 of 140

bunny , i`ve looked at there new page,,this is what i would do

homepage,go to
investor relations,and than go to,
shareholder services, and then click on ,,,,,,,click here,,,,than give them what details they need,,,,,,,good luck.

seawallwalker - 07 Jul 2004 15:13 - 65 of 140

Stock bunny, he is right, that is the way, but as nominees, we do not have the shareholder number.

H&L did not reply yet to my mail.

Gonna phone.

daves dazzlers - 07 Jul 2004 15:16 - 66 of 140

seawall, did you not no about this deal,,,,,honest.

seawallwalker - 07 Jul 2004 15:27 - 67 of 140

Really, no!

Only thanks to you, I do now :)

I just spoke to my broker, they are going to claim it for me and send it out.

I will always keep at least one share in PFP now.

Resolved for me.

Phone call seems to be the way stockbunny.

daves dazzlers - 07 Jul 2004 15:32 - 68 of 140

result ,,,,get down to your nearest and get the beer in,,,,,,,,result,,,who`s your broker.

stockbunny - 07 Jul 2004 15:33 - 69 of 140

Well I was considering holding some more, so this is what I've done..
I've bought some more this afternoon but 'on paper' so I will
automatically get the incentives - the second lot (held on paper) I'll
consider holding longer-term and the first lot (on nominee) I will sell
on if the share price moves up in the shorter-term.

seawallwalker - 07 Jul 2004 15:35 - 70 of 140

Sound stock bunny.

Hargreaves & Lansdown.

They are very good. Never anything too much trouble, all orders competed well, good prices obtained if they go to the floor........... buy one. That's my advice!

Hargreaves & Lansdown that is.......

daves dazzlers - 07 Jul 2004 16:08 - 71 of 140
