Bright Things (BGT)

colinspurr - 09 Nov 2005 14:13

To those of you who like me are in Bright Things hoping for the Bubble to be a great Christmas success. I thought my thoughts would be of interest. Due to the drop in the share price I went into Hamleys in Regent St yesterday and discovered that they had never heard of the game. This made me phone the company to complain that their product was not available in the world's best known toy shop. Executives were in a meeting so I thought what a waste of a phone call. Two hours later the MD phoned me back and assured that they now had a Hamleys order and their toy would be in within aweek. He did not pass on any unknown information but assured me they were flat out to make it a sucessful launch. I was much encouraged by his attitude and his interest in small shareholders.
Hope this helps.
Colin

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 07 Family DVD Game

About the game

Now you can play a round or two of golf with Tiger Woods on your home DVD player.

For the first time, the TV style presentation, fabulous graphics and accurate courses that have made Tiger Woods PGA Tour the bestselling golf game ever have been adapted for DVD play.

There's no installing or setting up needed. Just get everyone together round the TV, pop the DVD into your DVD player and play 2 of the world's greatest PGA Tour courses - TPC Sawgrass, Florida and the legendary links course at St Andrews in Scotland.

Choose which PGA Tour player you want to be and take on Tiger Woods, John Daly, Colin Montgomerie and Jim Furyk.

You can choose to play solo, or with family and friends. Up to four can play each time. This may be your only opportunity to beat Dad at golf!

Improve your game by practising individual holes or settle down for a full round, keeping track of your game on the exclusive course map poster and using the information on the courses and on each hole to help you improve your handicap.

This is the DVD game golf fans have been waiting for!

About iDVD Technology

Bright Things is in discussions with other games franchise holders to release further blockbuster video games onto the iDVD format and the company is set to create a whole new sub genre in home entertainment - the iDVD videogame.

Scottinvestor, The main console genre tends to be ages 13 - 30. Whereas DVD/IDVD is closer to 13 - 65. Arguably the potential spend in the IDVD market is two to three times that of the console market. The price level of TW is attractive and requires no expensive/specialist hardware. With the right level of advertising and smart distribution then i can see little reason why this product shouldn't generate substantial sales volume - perhaps 250,000+ copies. I'm not sure what the split on revenues is likely to be but I guess that BGT's share will fall straight to the bottom line now that R&D costs have been accounted for.

Distribution Partner -
Not announced via formal RNS!
Goldhill Entertainment - Goldhil are a solid partner with sound connections and "reach". They seem to market the game as their's so perhaps they will be more inclined to really push this state-stide...

Nice rise today with excellent buying volume - just shows how this stock is so many people's radars. Level 2 closed v.positive at 3 v 1 with just one market maker on the 6.50 pence offer. I would expect 7 pence on the offer which all the MMs are at to be reached fairly quickly tomorrow! 4 market makers again as off today - maybe in anticipation of some strong volume going through on positive news in coming days.
