THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

What about your smear campaign against Osborne saying he was on crack gf? Do you still think our Chancellor is on crack? He certainly seems to have Balls running around in ever increasing circles. Wallace and Gromit looked pretty sick this afternoon in the House.

Haystack - 03 Dec 2014 19:18 - 52075 of 81564

The joke from Osborne was good. He said that the guy who does the voices for Wallace and Gromit was retiring. He offered a likely candidate.

What made the joke even funnier was that Miliband tried to laugh it off and in the process he made a silly wide grin making him look even more like Wallace.

Miliband's grins look as false as Brown's

52072 - wonderful article! .... and if there had been no benefit to the buyers of relatively low priced houses, what sort of outcry then? ..... what a miserable old git that professor is

ExecLine - 03 Dec 2014 21:06 - 52079 of 81564

Some of the sellers of properties that are worth more but have been dropped down to the old '£250k SD ceiling' will now also be able to raise their asking price....

And then there's the 'new SD saving' that can now be spent on the asking price....

Interesting times in the market

If it wasn't for buy to let landlords, where would people live? There would never be enough social housing. In the UK, we are obssessed with owning property. Across Europe, in France, Belgium, Germany there is a much greater proportion of people renting.

MaxK - 03 Dec 2014 23:39 - 52085 of 81564

At sensible prices Haystack.

Check it out.

Haystack - 04 Dec 2014 00:43 - 52086 of 81564

True. But part of the reason our rents are so high is because of our obsession with owning our own property and making a profit from it. It becomes a never ending process.
