Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

as it's quite quiet .....
my mother was a very independent woman and steadfastly refused much if any help until the very end (at 91)
my father always wanted to die at home (89) - he told my mother on many occasions that that was why he had bought the house - and bless my mother's cotton socks, she shouldered the task of looking after him for the several years after he'd become rather daffy

Paul Johnson's presentation - Summary
And here are the key quotes from the opening presentation by Paul Johnson, the IFS director, summarising the main points from the IFS’s analysis.
Johnson said future spending cuts would be
“on a colossal scale” under the government’s plans.
There is no spending dividend on the horizon. Far from it. There are huge cuts to come.
How do we get to this sunlit upland in which we have a budget surplus? Spending cuts on a colossal scale is how,
taking total government spending to its lowest level as a proportion of national income since before the last war.
He said government’s plans implied the need for cuts that would change the role of the state
“beyond recognition”.

HAYS just think next year.
1. you have the postman and you open your first letter, £300 credit for the Winter Fuel Allowance.
2. Letter 2, £3,000 debit for your MANSION TAX .

Jesus, Manuel!
Genetically, you have another 20 years, unless somebody does something about it.
Mind the only home which would probably take you is the Dog's home.

Cyners yep you are right,
Thats more or less what Im pointing to.
Got taken out by a car and ended up in a coma for 30 days or so.
A few weeks later on tests found I had, Diabetics and a load of allergies.
Strange how life pans out.

Cynic,
I don't mind them wheeling me to the shops.
What gets me, is that it is usually to second hand shops and I have to take a taxi to get home.
