Activities
Provision of secure transaction systems and services to the international banking, telphony, retail, and security markets, using a range of smart and magnetic card solutions
In the recent Agm the chairman said "the company has made a positive start to the financial year and the board remains optimistic about prospects for the business."
Pre-tax losses have also nearly halved from 6.4 mln to a loss of 3.4 mln on cost cutting. They have also had a successful fund raising.
Also chart indicators show that it may be time for the next leg upwards past recent resistance at 7.5p. and please remember you are responsible for the timing of your own buying and selling actions.

Yesterday not all the sell were sells and also some of the unknown transactions were buys, but putting that aside this share will liven up after the christmas period. Wait for the end of January and you will all see a different picture.

The one fact that really matters is that IDD is in a growth industry that is well illustrated by their Interims posted on 2nd December 2004
Banking and financial sector sales up 135% helped by two major contract wins
Retail card sales up 154%, helped by loyalty and gift cards
Card industry now showing very strong demand across all sectors

From the Chief Executive's Review
ID Data sees major growth opportunities in its financial services business:
.....the smart-card industry is experiencing increased demand as banks introduce smart cards for Chip and PIN, retailers seek efficiencies, telecom companies expand and governments, influenced by geopolitical trends, focus on security and identity controls.
The benefits of these contracts will start to flow through in the second
half of this year:
"Since winning two significant orders in the period from two of the world's
largest issuers of financial cards, ID Data has seen the successful introduction
of this business and enhanced systems to ensure their exacting standards are
met."

some heavy buying again. something is brewing and some already know. been in these for ages, almost forgot I had em. We should see some substantial movement especially if the rumours of Id cards becomes true.

Increased growth use of credit cards should see increase in IDD revenues
Great potential with national id cards, post office use of cards, chip n pin, banks etc
The acquisition of Mids & Horsey in March was principally paid for by a 4 million placing at 7p a share.
Recent agreements to supply major players GE capital and Citibank
Expected to make 1 mill pre-tax profit by March 2006 = 0.3p eps, putting shares on current sp on forward p/e of 8.3 = cheap!!
Uks leading card manufacturer; customers include Tesco, AA, Nectar, and EDS, plus many major banks, building societies, High Street retailers and telcos.
