I am not certain who your protagonist is, but guessing from the "squelched list".

I think that the present Israeli's administration and some "right" winged Zionists figures, propaganda, arguments in defence of their actions are simply crass, inadequate and without validity.

Many of the Israeli actions are seen by the majority of world opinion as indefensible.

As can be seen on this thread, many supporters of their political positioning have to resort to and rely on character assassination, and threats. This exposes any valid argument they may have, to be dismissed. Also, when personally attacked as belonging to different racial, cultural, or religious groups it highlights the differences without advancing the arguments,

Another problem, produced by the extremists, is that many, who were supporters of much of what was conceived at the time of construction of The State of Israel in the 40-50, have lost sympathy with the extreme actions of the Zionist extremes.


I still think that the only sensible endpoint for the region will be a single secular egalitarian democratic state, with respect of the equal rights for all members.

(To a degree that is what has led to peace in Ireland.)

I would suppose that such a state is at least 10-20years away.
