How to profit from Betting Exchanges (BEX)

How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?

Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Having a good ol evening until I got caught out by the late Udinese equaliser. One unmatched bet ruined what was a much better night for me from a trading perspective. I wasn't even going to bother with Udinese / Bremen :-(

I had a pretty quiet night. Made some money on the Man U match and bit here and there but nothing outrageous.

3.00 at Bath

pictures lost due to severe weather - thunder and lightening.

The winner was available at 4.2 when the race was suspended - would have been a good day to have someone at the course on the phone

I'll have to remember that. I can't wait for Kempton Park and Ascot to come back on line again. I'll have five big courses within easy driving distance then.

Fundamentalist - 19 Oct 2005 21:25 - 5250 of 10502

Great free kick from Beckham - Madrid now 4-1 up - hell of an even money shot at half time

Scripophilist - 19 Oct 2005 21:52 - 5251 of 10502

Really pleased to see Woodgate get a goal, poor lad. He's come in for so much grief.
