Cant help you either Fred, but it may be worth you and any others tempted by the low price to know that Bruce Packard, whose forcaste of 0p price for Bradford & B caused indignation at the time i think, is now forcasting RBS to go to 18p!!! this from todays Times (markets Business)

Its getting predictable now with the sp falling every day I cant see them lasting much longer...and even 18p is too high.

mitzy I hold 5000 of these that I paid .80p for a few weeks ago. I have also read somewhere over the weekend that they could fall to the .18 pence figure that you have mentioned. If I can remember right the person who has predicted this figure was the same person who predicted the same sorted of prediction with northern rock and it came true, but this is just heresay. All the shares I hold just seem to fall weekly. The market is awful at the moment. When I think back about 10 months ago I was trading these at the 5 mark. This country is well and truly going down hill very fast. Try and hang on to some cash. I will hang on to these shares now. I am getting immune to losing money on shares as I am sure a lot of the others must be by now. Good luckI think we are going to need it.

Don't be influenced by the idiots janet.
There will be an excellent trading opportunity here but only when the doom merchants will have you believe it is the end of the world.
Keep calm and don't be influenced by self-opinionated glory hunters such as mitzy whose only interest is making money for itself at the detriment of others.

I'm not sure what the Gov statement yeterday am meant.
Was it saying any future financial input into the banks will effectively be at a lower sp or was it saying it's agreed investment is being renegotiated at a lower price. If it's the latter whch is how I read it, why no press comment?

OK. Explained in the Independent this am. It means any future fund raising so I guess the sp is slipping because the market feels that may indeed happen.

This is a classic example of Boom and BUST. Wait for the big BANG!
Fred the Shred should be in court awaiting execution.
