THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Len McCluskey, Unite general secretary said: “The sheer scale of this conflict of interest is staggering, but it is the ongoing sell-off of our NHS that makes this the real scandal for our democracy.

in that case fred, ask yourself why any contracts are outsourced
indeed you could ask yourself the same question of any company that does this, though the answer is usually self-apparent

unlike you, i have no interest in banging some political drum

As Clegg pointed out to Harriet today, it was the previous Labour government that set up lots of sweetheart deals with private companies to supply the NHS. All of them on very bad terms.

goldfinger - 10 Dec 2014 14:56 - 52616 of 81564

Clegg was thrashed by Harman and also a point of order was made (by Andy Burnham) against his lie that Labour privatised that hospital he made so much of.

Hes now had to send a groveling apology note.

goldfinger - 10 Dec 2014 15:03 - 52617 of 81564

Cyners why is it that you Tories always think services are better run in private hands????

Theirs numerous examples of both private and Nationalised being better, so please in future THINK ON.

Or Ill ask you to leave the chamber.....ORDER ORDER ORDER will the tall lanky git from down south known as HAYS please reframe from spitting in the house. Youl have plenty of time to do that on the street outside......mark my words.

CYNIC

Manuel,

All other than you are political, unless of course it suits you.

The actions by politicians on the NHS are bound to be of a political nature.

In the case of NHS outsourcing, much of it is based on current or should it be "currant" tory market ideology.

Also, Cameron is bleating constantly that the NHS is safe in his hands.

I wouldn't touch him with latex gloves on and dressed in Embola protective clothingn.

cynic - 10 Dec 2014 15:07 - 52619 of 81564

i didn't say anything like that .... try reading what i actually wrote, for it wasn't remotely ambiguous, and then comment again if you so desire

cynic - 10 Dec 2014 15:10 - 52620 of 81564

All other than you are political
boloney!
in fact there's probably a considerable majority who are perfectly able and do comment in a non-partisan way

how politicians (re)act is nothing whatsoever to do with what i asked

Fred1new - 10 Dec 2014 15:13 - 52621 of 81564

Manuel,

Well, you don't appear to be able to do so.

Your rigidity of thought is truly amazing.

Do you have a photo of Maggie as your guardian angel above your bed at night!

goldfinger - 10 Dec 2014 15:18 - 52622 of 81564

LOL no, but Hays does hilary tells me.

cynic - 10 Dec 2014 15:21 - 52623 of 81564

did you actually read what i wrote?
by the looks of it, no .... but then unless you twist what i wrote, it wouldn't suit your agenda anyway

doodlebug4 - 10 Dec 2014 15:23 - 52624 of 81564

Fred, you are the one who seems to be obsessed with Maggie. How long has she been dead now? You just can't stop talking about her.

goldfinger - 10 Dec 2014 15:23 - 52625 of 81564

IM AMAZED AT THE NEXT THING IM GOING TO POST UP, REMARKABLE GIVEN THAT THE TORY MINISTER AS DENIED DENIED AND DENIED THESE DIDNT EXIST, NOT JUST IN THE COMMONS BUT ALSO IN SELECT COMMITTEE MEETINGS..............Unbelievable.

Haystack - 10 Dec 2014 15:25 - 52626 of 81564

Very few business related activities are suited to being nationalised. The profit motive gives the incentive to cut waste. It is why socialist countries have never innovated, improved or invented anything.

Couldn't you post something more up to date. The document says week beginning 24 January, but what year? Is this some old document from Labour's day?
