Thanks for the generous offer Socs but it's a bit far and not enough notice.
I know nothing about antiques so it would probably all be lost on me.

Good morning earthpeople. Lovely planet today but I can't hang around because there is a traffic warden hanging around near my flying saucer. I might just turn him into plastic toy and stuff him into a cornflake packet.

Socs....I'm beginning to worry about you dear...Maybe it's a
lack of trifle and you are suffering withdrawal symptoms, as
it seems like you are hallucinating, there haven't been plastic
toy traffic wardens in cornflakes for ages my friend. As for the
one pursuing your flying saucer, remedy is easy - put it into
reverse!
JJ50 - Hello new cafe person! I love Scotland, went to the
Highlands (Loch Torridon) on holiday and that was it, there's no place like it!
Save the midges who really are a pain.
OK I'll have some of the left over crab or lobster and salad please..

Thanks for the welcome stockbunny! Am afraid the weather forecast yesterday has been rather over-ruled today - bitterly cold and windy (that probably was our Summer) and any remaining midges will have been blown well off course - they tend to have too much sense to come to the East Coast anyway!
I rather fancy the sound of that left over crab or lobster too ....

All this talk of crabs has set me going on a little project. I've made a secret deal with a Russian sailor to supply the cafe with these little beggars, see link below:

Good morning all. A damp and dismal day here in the West, but who cares? Bring on the crabs.

Good morning all. Wet in the north also, don't suppose we will see Bunny in here this morning, she will probably be hopping around the Marathon. I like watching them, and thats enough. Fit people!!

stockbunny, re midges, try Marmite. Apparently they dont like the smell of Vitamin B.
GD, you are supposed to mow the lawn and dig the flower beds. Not vice versa.
Good afternoon all. That is to say it is not a good afternoon down here. It's been chuckin' it down all day.

Marmite is a very good Socco repellant too.

Morning all on this temporarily sunny Monday morning!!
Opto - the nearest the bunny got to the marathon was watching it
on TV whilst doing the mountainous pile of ironing in the warren
on Sunday...bit wet for them all though poor dears...
Marmite...interesting idea...do you eat it or bathe in it?
We learnt the hard way that the little critters like dark
colours and that was why all the locals wore these bright
yellow water-proof/shower jackets whilst we wore our dark
blue midge magnets......
Anyone who backed WHSmiths WELL DONE!!!! and I hope you have
bagged yourselves a tidy profit! Now I want the same thing to
happen for either M&S or Matalan (not fussy, either will do!)
