I learned a long time ago to accept myself warts and all.

When I make a statement, it is the argument that I am interested in, not whether I am liked or disliked.

(Also, I learned a long time ago to dissociate the person from the argument being presented.)

Again, I was taught to question and evaluate the statement and answers given by myself or others. Often exposed false "beliefs" and lack of real thought on my own part and that of others.

Again you attribute a position to me Indeed, "it's because you do that and also so unobjectively despise anything 'Tory', that you are disliked so much". This, from those who know me well, is patently not so.

Repetitions of such sweeping statements tend to irritate, when repeated in one form or another and tend to be used in group attacks" of one form or another.

If you said that I bait posters, who I think make sweeping statements, from what I consider pedestals of clay, you are correct. More often with tongue in cheek than I think, you suspect.

If you read back through my previous postings, you might be able to review this opinion.

I must admit, although being a member of a few clubs and partaking of various groups, I have in general, been an observer rather than an adherent of the mores of any specific group.

Being a member of a group never seemed to add to my validity. (Swings and roundabouts.) But I would like to thank those who you think have lent me support.

However, I didn't realise that when a topic appeared to be under discussion, that it could only developed within prescribe rules.

As far as Hilary is concerned, I would supposed she contributes at her own volition. If one gives it out , it would seem sensible to be able to accept being challenged and rebuffed in the same manner.
