Terod: creamed it both ways -but got greedy in my longs thinking that it will rally at end-so scraped out bruised but not beaten as walked away with 800 notes.

Harlosh. I was on the traders board but MAM dumped me. I was on the testing list, not a subscriber. Maybe I will go back but I have to drop another service somewhere else as I have decided that I am not spendiong another penny on trading related matters until I have doubled my trading pot.

getting ready for the action today. I have this gut feeling that the decline from friday will trickle over in this session and inception and then move north which i believe will be short lived. So keep fingers on the trigger and get them both long and short.

Just closed a short for a small gain of 200 -not much volatility as yet -seems to be moving sideways in a range.
be careful as can hit out like a cobra.

the gods were smiling (thank you Zarif), came back to a nice d/w trend and closed out. if things turn up, may go long - common sense tells me though that it's still heading down.

I think 9750 is the support as seems to be bouncing off it. But watch carefully if it is violated then might fall down like a lead weight.

I closed the second short at 9757 with a good profit.
Have just ventured into a long and going to cash in asap.(assuming i get that far)

Hi y'all.
Had to go out early today and closed up my stop on my Friday short. It got taken out for a 15 point loss. I hate it when it does that.
Not to worry the 'system' is showing short at the moment and will remain so as long as the close is below 9785.85.

The way its going i would not be at all surprised if it shoots upwards at near end.
Anyway i hope so then can close the 2 Daily longs in decent credit.If only all the wishes were granted.....

By the way, how did your Metastock install go?

Snoball: the shorts ( ihad two open which paid me dividednds as ahedge against the longs which were 2/pt) the shorts were 15/pt.
I closed the longs at 9783 losing 216. and the 2 shorts gave me 1440 so the nett gain was 1224.

You are quite right without the shorts as back-up i would have had my fingers burnt.

re: metastock - i had guests at the weekend staying with us so was not able to do anything.Hopefully during the week will have it sorted out -and thanks for your offer when i get stuck i shall give u a shout.

I think it is going to nudge up a bit say 9800 trade sideways then if it creeps up then 9850 -but then its going to plummett (hopefully) down and if we are 9650 then definitely more downside to come.

what are your views???

Jusy closed the first short of the day opened 9749 closed at 9725 =24pts at 25/pt =600 -so that has more than even stevens for yesterdays loss of 216.

Just watching now to see what tops it gets to then short circuit all the way down -might need a parachute - ihope it sinks like a syone

I don't trade the DOW but I like to read what you guys are
thinking about it as its action affects the FTSE.

If I may give a view.

As I said on the other thread in the investors' room.
Bond markets are closed so I'd expect stock volumes to
be lighter than normal.
This may lead to directionless, whippy, technical trading.
People won't want to take a hard position.
I wouldn't expect a big daily move up or down, so if you are going
for a plummet, as you say, make sure you don't get whipsawed.
