Choccy,

Re your Fins/Flash thingey.

Do you open PDF files at all? FXCM Trade Station uses Flash 8 and whenever I open a PDF file in Adobe Acrobat, it causes my Trade Station to shut down. It took me ages to work out that it was the PDF files which were causing the problem.

MightyMicro - 30 Mar 2006 15:49 - 5287 of 11056

Choccie: I have a Fins account and have just logged in for the first time since they changed the platform to Flash. I haven't tried trading on it yet so we shall see.

I don't understand the fondness for Flash with these people.

On edit: they still use Java where they need to produce live prices, by the look of it.

Hil: FX Fairy back on duty, Ma'am!

chocolat - 01 Apr 2006 15:17 - 5289 of 11056

Thanks for that Hils - there could well be a correlation, especially as I uninstalled Adobe Acrobat a while back (after I managed to somehow corrupt it when I was clearing some other stuff) and installed the latest version.

MM - if I thought I knew what I was doing, I'd attempt to clear the old java thingies I still seem to have - is that what 'clearing the cache' is all about?

Harlosh - 05 Apr 2006 09:25 - 5290 of 11056

Anyone know where the calendar has gone?

MightyMicro - 05 Apr 2006 09:42 - 5291 of 11056

Harlosh: I can see the calendar -- can't you?

Divetime - 05 Apr 2006 09:44 - 5292 of 11056

No calender here

HelenW - 05 Apr 2006 09:45 - 5293 of 11056

No calender here, either. Just lots of white space.

MightyMicro - 05 Apr 2006 09:47 - 5294 of 11056

How very odd -- I can still see it. It's linked in from www.dailyfx.com, of course, that may have something to do with its selective visibility, although I can't think why. Unless I've still got it cached . . .

Divetime - 05 Apr 2006 09:49 - 5295 of 11056

Just tried anther brouser, still the same

hilary - 05 Apr 2006 09:49 - 5296 of 11056

Calendar OK here.

chocolat - 05 Apr 2006 09:50 - 5297 of 11056

Nope, no calendar.

MightyMicro - 05 Apr 2006 09:51 - 5298 of 11056

OK, folks, normal service should now be resumed. DailyFX have issued an update and removed the old calendar we had linked to. I could still see the old one as it was still in my browser cache.

Let me know if you have any problems.

The FX Fairy.

Harlosh - 05 Apr 2006 09:53 - 5299 of 11056

Still no MM and now the space the calendar occupied has gone too.

Divetime - 05 Apr 2006 09:54 - 5300 of 11056

Still no calender

chocolat - 05 Apr 2006 09:55 - 5301 of 11056

Yes but the FX fairy has left a little kiss in a box for us :)

hilary - 05 Apr 2006 09:55 - 5302 of 11056

That's odd.

I print the PDF version of it each week, normally on a Saturday or Sunday. My printout goes from 3rd to 7th April. The updated calendar above includes stuff from the 2nd.

Cloudbase - 05 Apr 2006 09:57 - 5303 of 11056

All OK here.
