They are setting up a new site to explore/research/analyse and all the equipment to do this should be on site now, and drilling should start soon, all this extra news should be covered in the interims.
does anyone have any further positive views on this company ??

Good rise today though I am not expecting too much just yet, the 14 day RSI is in a very heavy overbought position coupled with the Upper Bollinger Band which has not really edged up as I would like too just yet.

It will be a deffinitive month this coming, charts mean nothing as i've said before, they don't reflect whats coming, and they won't till we've got it.
Imminently, and this coming month you'll see the turnaround ...
If you want to buy, buy now, or just watch it happen ...

New Millennium Resources NL
04 August 2004
NEW MILLENIUM RESOURCES N.L.
UPDATE ON ANGOLA DIAMOND PROJECT
New Millennium Resources NL ('NML') is pleased to announce a number of
significant events for its diamond mining operation in Angola.
NML has:
Acquired a fully cohesive mining plant and ancillary equipment;
shipped mining plant from South Africa;
appointed mine managers; and
appointed a manager for the Luanda logistics office.
Acquisition of Fully Cohesive Mining Plant and Ancillary Equipment
NML has purchased from the Badenhorst Combine CC of Kimberly, South Africa, its
entire working plant of alluvial diamond mining equipment. This is a cohesive
unit comprising, pans and conveyors, mobile sort house, excavators, loading
shovels, trucks, cranes and numerous other equipment necessary for the mining to
commence. It is important to stress that this acquisition is a working plant
including mobile workshop, spares, tools and accommodation. This is a key
acquisition for mining in remote areas where spares and supplies are difficult
to procure.
The cost of the equipment acquisition is US$1.26m. This will be paid in three
tranches, US$126k in cash (paid), the issue of 5,040,000 fully paid ordinary
shares in NML (US$504k) to the vendors at US$0.10 (approximately 0.055) per
share and a final cash payment of US$630k on or before 30th November 2004. This
purchase brings to US$2.0m the total value of diamond mining equipment acquired
by NML since March 2004.
NML will make application for the 5,040,000 new ordinary shares to be admitted
to trading on AIM and admission is expected to occur on 9 August 2004.
Shipment of Mining Plant to Luanda
The recently acquired mining plant is expected to arrive in the Port of Luanda
on 7th August 2004, when it will be road freighted to the Lapi site and
scheduled to arrive 30th August 2004. Mining will commence within two weeks of
arrival on site.
Appointment of Mine Managers
NML has appointed the Badenhorst Brothers, Neils and Pete, as mine managers for
the Lapi diamond operation. The Badenhorst's are experienced alluvial diamond
miners having many years experience in diamond mining in the Kimberly district
of South Africa. They will operate the equipment purchased from them and with
which they are familiar. This familiarity will enable the management to hit the
ground running once the equipment is on site. The Badenhorst's are also
conversant with employing local labour and working in the terrain and conditions
prevailing at our Lapi site.
Luanda Office Fully Operational
NML has appointed Dr Malcolm Mudge as the Luanda Office Manager. Dr Mudge has
taken up residency in Luanda and has set up reporting and communications
processes and procedures between the Lapi mining site and HQ. This office will
play a pivotal role in communications and sourcing supplies and equipment for
the mine operations. Dr Mudge speaks fluent Portuguese, the predominant local
language, and is a qualified geologist, metallurgist and gemmologist.

I could do with 10,jack,queen,king and ace tonight Baughfell... I am playing poker with the boys tonight!!!! ;-) Lets just hope this isn't the only royal flush.
It looks as though there was a 200k sell but if you look at the timing and the price at that time, it could well have been a buy.
When will they report the first findings and where do you see the price going?
Baughfell

Legend, the 200k was definately a buy, the price was up over 30% mid afternoon but fell back on later profit taking.
Mining is due to start in early September. I say mining but it's really alluvial dredging with diamonds literally at the surface. Revenue will be generated almost immediately.
I'm a little wary of forecasting price rises.. but.. I won't be selling under 25p and I expect NML ro reach this before the end of this year.
But don't just take my word for it - there is really good info on the NML site.

Good luck with the cards!

Yes, only a few weeks now till defined RNS'd minestart, it is warming up now, and the trading and interest is gaining well.
Agreed to, on start it will be cash generative almost instantly due to the depths of the diamonds, 1mtr to a max depth of 15mtr.

I have just had a lengthy chat with Shane Healey who is the finance Director at NML. Firstly let me say I have checked with Shane and nothing I am about to report is considered to be outside the public domain.
The Boat arrived in Luanda at midnight on Thursday; it is being off loaded today or tomorrow onto 11 flatbed trucks. It has already cleared customs. It will travel in convey with another mining companies equipment (15 trucks). It will take four days to go the 1,000 Kms to Serena (please excuse the spelling if its wrong). The convoys will then split up, the other company going off to their site. It will then take a further 10 days to go the final 34Kms of road; 24Kms is a passable track and the final 10kms needs a bit of "gardening"
The kit will be there in two weeks time. It will take the Badenhorst brothers (again excuse the spelling) a week to put there OWN kit together again and the brothers reckon they will be pulling diamonds out of the ground from day one! Incidentally the brothers have been to the site twice and can't wait to start. They reckon after spending 15 years working really hard in the Kimberleys in South Africa that this will be a doddle!
Publicity: In September, after the mining has commenced there are going to be road shows in London, Australia and Malaysia. They have already engaged the services of a PR company here in London. NML do intend to make a splash one they are firing real ammunition i.e. producing diamonds!
Shane was a little upset about the RNS which came out the other day. To put it bluntly what he wrote was changed by the Nominated Advisor to the company.
I asked Shane about the rns including the part about mining beginning by the end of 2004. I said does he consider what we are about to do (in three weeks time) as trial mining and that proper mining starts at the end of 2004 after the samples have been taken. His reply was "look we are going straight to the spots where we think the diamonds are and are going to dig them up. We don't call that trial mining! The diamonds are only a metre from the surface and we want to get at them straight away!
Just to reiterate I have asked if any of this was considered insider info and was told no. I can give no more detail other than I have given here and that that I have given is to the best of my recollection. I'm sorry if the English aint great but I am not a journalist!

Impressive research... I will be honest, I am not a mining expert and this is the only one I have bought (not many - only 20k), but looks very promising. It is always good when FD's are co-operative and try to help you as investors. I hope yours and Leewinks research pays off, I see you have been writing on here for a while.

Hello everyone,
Can we believe what we are being told about whats happening at the mine site and that they will be pulling big diamonds out in large quantyties from the moment they start? If so why hasnt the price rocketed?

Morning ST,
The information isn't widely known and has been researched by a small number of people who have followed the company for some months. The news released by the company has been deliverately and rightly understated.
I do believe what we are told as I have corresponded with NML myself. For me the key is the credentials of the management team and those on the ground both of which I believe to be excellent.
There is no doubt there is some risk (it is Angola after all) but everyone should have a few of these. When news is released (and it will be soon) this stock could move even faster than AFD earlier this year that 2.5 bagged in a month.
The point worth noting here is that this isn't the mining of kimberlite pipes (not yet anyway) but alluvial mining - so recovery will start almost as soon as the earth is shifted.
DYOR etc..

nkirk> slow down! i know the equipment will be at the site during this week and it takes about 5 days to set it up, shane said they will start mining as soon as the equipment is set up so i am estimating next week to minestart, the only thing im not sure of is how long it will take to unload the trucks so allowing for "slippage" i would give 1st oct as my preffered date. oh yes and i do hold over 1/2m of these so i am as eager as the next person! its not the minestart rns that will give the biggest lift it will be the "we have been to auction today and sold our first parcel of stones" rns and im assured that the quality of the 1m alluvials is a sight to behold. lets hope so. good luck all.
