Don't even go there, Bunny Girl. I've got two pre-pubescent kids in the house who both want to know the "ins and outs" of it all. Nowadays, they get videos at school and a supply of condoms and bananas to "practise" on.
I was taught in a convent by nuns and sex education didn't feature on the curriculum ..... fortunately the boys at the school down the road were kind enough to give us instruction during their lunch hour.
True Hils - school PHSE lessons (I think that's what they are called)
are as you say, extremely informative these days coupled with the usual
'informal learning' via the feedback in the school playground! If you want
to get in first as a parent, it seems you've got to cover the subject before
they're about 6 or 7 yrs old.
