And then my brother smashes his car and I have to go 80 miles to get him.

Woke up this morning physicaly and mentaly exhausted.

Russia's attempt to stop the Rouble slide doesn't seem to be working. They raised interest rates to 17% at 1 am in the morning. The Rouble rallied 9% quite quickly. Then it fell back and is now 3% under the rate before the interest rate rise.

I guess the next thing they may try is to impose currency exchange controls. They are suffering currency flight and have almost no access to world capital markets due to sanctions and worries over default. The Rouble is now sitting on the same rate as it was before it defaulted in 1998. They have already said they will be in recession very soon and their economy may shrink by as much as 5%.

Hays they are in the s-it for sure, and it serves them right.

The CIA report should never have been published in the first place. Of course people from both the Conservative party and the Labour party either knew, or had strong suspicions about what was going on. I personally find it far more upsetting that our armed forces were/are sent to fight these nutters without adequate equipment.

A Moscow resident has a wrist watch for sale which I have been searching for on the Internet for months and which is no longer in production.

The seller describes it as being 'like new' and is complete with the original paperwork and box.

I am burning with desire to buy it.

It isn't an eBay sale and PayPal hasn't been mentioned as a payment method. This is a pity because my PayPal payment deal is that they pay and then I get the money deducted 14 days later - providing the goods have been delivered and are OK.

I wouldn't be against putting the money for it in some kind of escrow account, to be released on my say so after delivery and my safe receipt. To complicate matters even further the sale is in Russian Rubles.

Maybe the guy knows Obramovich and one of his hoppo's could courier it back to the UK and then I could collect it from one of the Obramovich mansions or whatever?

What you really need is somone with quite a bit experience of dealing online. My brother would be ideal but hes gone off to France today and is a big merchant on E Bay and other sites.

But seriously E/L, sounds like far to much to go wrong there, so personally I would avoid.

I have a nice Omega that I bought in the 1970s. It runs on a tuning fork, which you can hear with an ear to the case. It keeps perfect time and I still use it every day. It is chronometer rated.
