You are absolutely right about the contract. When Tads achieve $80k in downloads MS will put in another order for more downloads, as someone else said earlier it is a bit like pay as you go on mobile phones.
The markets are disappointed because the RNS mentions $100k, I am sure the HB made Tad put that in knowing it would dilute the reaction and help them out of the deep doo-doo they are in.

Yuff - finally torn myself away from the footers (half-time). OK, I will take your word for it at the moment and hope that it is not too long before a further MSFT extension is announced. I cannot claim to know about IT-type contracts but it just seems very peculiar, esp. as Tad made no attempt to really suggest that 100k was a base figure - or even add something bullish about the tie-up in general. Anyway, back to the screen.

yuff you mention the HB being deep in the ****. please could you explain.

I wonder how much press we will get today? I expect there will
be something for the week end as well.
A nice column in Midas would do!

Independant.

Small cap punters were surprised to seeTadpole Technology drop 0.25p to 18p after the software group unveiled a much talked of deal with Microsoft. Although the tie-up is worth just $100,000 to Tadpole, analysts argued that the adoption of its technology by the computer giant is a good endorsement of the company

Isn't it amazing how one word left out can change the whole article.
The word "initially" should be placed in front of just.

Moneylender - 18 Jun 2004 08:08 - 539 of 2262

Morning Yuff.

Agreed, that would have made a big difference.
I understand that our inclusion in Techmark 100 is starting to
create a little interest, especially after yesterdays announcement.
Institutions are sniffing!

yuff - 18 Jun 2004 08:12 - 540 of 2262

Yes I gather HP was busy taking calls yesterday morning from institutions.
It wouldn't be EVO helping them get aboard cheapply at the expense of loyal shareholders.
That would be unheard of.

8:36 and no trades yet ....???? this is unusual and intrims round the corner as well...

I am sure investors are wondering what the mm's are up to especially the HB.
The spread doesn't help, there were plenty of buyers on the news yesterday but the HB dropped on the very first sell after 15 consecutive buys. One wondrs what their agenda is but most long termers know they are short of the market.

dickdasterdly10000 - 18 Jun 2004 09:12 - 544 of 2262

Looks like the retarded TAD PR machine does it again

how difficult is it to word a 5 line RNS so that it actually conveys the nature of a deal and can't be misuderstood or even to reissue it with further explanation

absolute muppets

pachandl - 18 Jun 2004 15:17 - 545 of 2262

Rather quiet on here? It seems the market has not been impressed by the recent deals - we have not really advanced in the last couple of months. Unfortunately you cannot buck the market - even when it is wrong! So I am hoping for some positive press comment over the weekend to redress the imbalance. Current momentum has stalled and something needs to happen to re-invigorate it. Perhaps Midas or Express will lend us a friendly hand.

paleface2003 - 19 Jun 2004 13:16 - 546 of 2262

Pause for thought. Tadpole have done the business with MS, so the naysayers have lost that one...MCI are on board, now here is the interesting part, volume has been rising the past 3 days, we have a figure, $100,000 worth of down loads...now that is a small figure, but it could be a large figure...what is missing is the actual price per download to TAD, forgive me if it has been posted on a TAD board, but i haven't time to trawl through millions of filtered posts!

Anyhow, if the figure was 1$ a download, and there were 100,000 downloads a day worldwide...would that interest us...? I think so. So if the downloads were 1c a download.... and the download figures were the same for downloads would that interest us? Not us much. Now as someone posted, the MCI deal is downloads that include an airtime cut, now it starts to get interesting...not only do customers pay for the downloads but they pay airtime while connected, in MB's one presumes for GPRS users, and we get some of that.

So the figure of $100,000 is meaningless without two figures..1)The amount of downloads per day/week/month/year and 2) how many downloads $100k buys. It would seem the same genius must be behind Tads PR worldwide, when they release great news, they release it early via the press as a rummour with supposed figures, this is then re released with no figures, producing dissapointment, rage and or a falling share price. Then, the same genius releases the real news with very small figures, set in a meaningless context...my car does 0 to 60...without the seconds included. Result..you guessed it. Dissapointment, rage and or a falling share price.

I have stuck with this share for 4 years becuse i believe that dispite the best efforts of the dolts that issue the news, leak naff rumours to the press, bash and ramp on the thread and generally prevent the normal ascent of a business with a good technology and IP bank, the world of business cannot resist a chance to save a buck.

The software interest has gone from a trickle to a stream, and once the figures are realised it will be come a torrent i'm sure.

MS and Autodesk are not 2 bit players, neither is MCI and the quality of our other partners is top notch, i will have to try and be caratable and presume that the low key news release is the work of a marketing guru who wants to prevent TAD being a pump and dump stock, and wants to gradually spread the word so Endevours can keep up with the demand, rather than overstretching itself...i think this year/month/interims will decide if it is to be the next Microsoft in this country...as a picks and shovels company it stands to make a a bundle from the coming goldrush as people try and save money as their profits shrink.

I am off to compute the likely figures per download and decide on my retirement date. :)

Tomorrow is midsummers day or the end of Spring according to TAD!
Remember the 21st has already been highlighted by Hugh patterson.
Will there be any kind of further announcements tomorrow? I notice the ETI web site has still not got the MSFT deal on it. Perhaps they are busy working away to update it tomorrow, who knows.
All I can say is get up EARLY Tomorrow, you know it makes sense.

M

gildph - 21 Jun 2004 22:22 - 548 of 2262

Should we get up early tomorrow then moneylender?

Moneylender - 21 Jun 2004 22:53 - 549 of 2262

Early bird gets the worm, so they say.
Your choice but we know the intrims will be here by a week Wednesday.
There WILL be a good forward statement, what that will do for the price, who knows?
But if it gaps up, as it could would you want to miss it?

Get up early is my choice.

M

I'm only slagging moneylender - we all appreciate your thoughts on this share and let's hope the institutions start listening to you and realise the potential here. Fingers crossed to a great week or two ahead!
