TMC...One of the miners that hasnt bounced yet (TMC)

siwel2 - 17 Feb 2006 10:17

Interesting little company. Did a series of asset swops to leave them with half of the 4th largest Nickel deposit in the world.
The deposit itself is in the Philippines has been known about for 30 years but due to low prices and lack of demand in the Far East it was never exploited. With the explosion in demand from India and China the nickel price has climbed from $2 to $6.50 but oddly enough is still considered low.
The final approval stage for exploitation is just about to be approved and extraction will begin. The company already has one contract with a Japanese smelter and is in discussions with smelters in a series of countries.
Nothing clever about the operation, as the ore is of sufficiently high grade, they dig it up and ship it out. Infrastrucure is already in place for operation.
TMC is currently priced at 18m, the initial Japanese contract is worth 4m and each additional contract will hopefully be at this level or greater.
Final approval turns the company into a producer and each additional contract simply increases their size.
The management is tight with cash and has some good quality mining skills onboard.
The Philippine government is fast tracking the final approval and the company says it expects it shortly.
One to hold for approval and through the series of RNS's as more contracts are won. Company should be worth 50m in 6 months and 100m in 12-18 months.
Buy it, ignore it, just pointing this one out.

No, he works on nights in the food distribution industry. I have worked with him for about 14 years, so I trust in what he says. Also he put me onto TMC in the first place. He holds 40,000 shares and is currently looking at fair value being 88 per share. I respect his right to remain anonymous, but can assure you his integrity is impeachable.

Great game of cat and mouse going on at the moment. MM's looking for any excuse to drop sp with sales and all the buyers waiting to take advantage of a lower price.

oilyrag - 11 Jun 2007 08:27 - 533 of 879

If the 30,000 trading deficit is worth slashing 19p off of sp, then the 300,000 trading surplus on Friday should have added 190p not lost another 35p. This is gross market mis-management and as far as I am concerned the mm's have over stepped their brief to make a market. This is theft, but their not getting mine yet.

At what sort of price are you looking to sell at oilrag?

ellio - 11 Jun 2007 13:44 - 535 of 879

I think Oilrag sees these at 40, but most people will start taking some profits(others already have) at 10, which is my realistic short-term target? once and if we evr get there then I'll decide like others.

oilyrag - 11 Jun 2007 16:04 - 536 of 879

My target price is 20 for a what I call my trading surplus and at least 40 for the majority of my holdings. This price however may be reassessed depending on how quickly the price moves, when we get into full production. You have to accept that once out, you may not get in again once all this institutional sculldugery has ceases.

Dont normally agree with comments about mms theft but tried a dummy trade on the phone this a.m with the couple of thousands I hold rather than trade.Kept me on hold til the price dropped to 4.25, said I was going to report them to the fsa-told me to p*ss off basically. When I said that my brother was a big man on the Fidelity campus they offered me 127.5-told them I didnt want to deal with barrerboys -still got the shares-fsa got back to me -theyre looking in to it!!Not holding out too many hopes.

stockbunny - 11 Jun 2007 16:42 - 538 of 879

Ummm just a small point, if it hasn't really bounced like the other miners I'd want to know why with demand for metals being what they are. If however it has done well since this thread was created totally ignore this comment (haven't had time to read the posts fully) :>)

We are bouncing! Long may the rise continue!

expert - 12 Jun 2007 08:21 - 540 of 879

I am so looking forward to hitting olirags targets.

oilyrag - 12 Jun 2007 08:31 - 541 of 879

Sorry boys, I wont be able to give any analysis today, bacause I am running blind. My Stockwatch pages and my trades pages are blank. I have logged in about 20 times and nothing. I can see the rise on the small chart on quote page and price in risers and fallers. Still at least I can access the bulliten boards.

cynic - 12 Jun 2007 08:35 - 542 of 879

would make life very jolly if VML also became a target ..... far from impossible

oilyrag - 12 Jun 2007 15:23 - 548 of 879

I wonder how many big buys will be shown at end of day. A lot more than their letting on. Fast becoming a liquid stock.

oilyrag - 12 Jun 2007 15:46 - 549 of 879

Being conned again, but then I'm not falling for it.

bhunt1910 - 12 Jun 2007 16:31 - 550 of 879
