THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh id be very careful exec. Might find this same person as 200 up for sale. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ExecLine - 16 Dec 2014 12:04 - 53105 of 81564

And then, dealing with a Russian, there's the risk at a later date I might get my throat cut and my organs stolen too. Or maybe even a radioactive prick from an umbrella?

ExecLine - 16 Dec 2014 12:04 - 53106 of 81564

But is there a way.....?

doodlebug4 - 16 Dec 2014 12:08 - 53107 of 81564

I would be very worried about my organs if I was you Exec, I believe some Russians are quite partial to organs at Christmas!

goldfinger - 16 Dec 2014 12:09 - 53108 of 81564

hmmmmmmm yes your right never thought about that.

What you really need is somone with quite a bit experience of dealing online. My brother would be ideal but hes gone off to France today and is a big merchant on E Bay and other sites.

Just want you to be careful.

doodlebug4 - 16 Dec 2014 12:09 - 53109 of 81564

There is always a way - when there is a will. Just make sure you have made a will.:-)

Haystack - 16 Dec 2014 12:34 - 53110 of 81564

Exec
How much money is involved and what is the watch.

Chris Carson - 16 Dec 2014 12:35 - 53111 of 81564

Exec - I collect vintage watches, mainly Omega. What make are you looking for.

goldfinger - 16 Dec 2014 12:38 - 53112 of 81564

Yes Hays knows the crack. Be very careful though Exec.

Stan - 16 Dec 2014 12:42 - 53113 of 81564

"Exec - I collect vintage watches, mainly Omega. What make are you looking for."

Yeah me too.. got a draw full of them somewhere none work of course -):

But seriously E/L, sounds like far to much to go wrong there, so personally I would avoid.

Haystack - 16 Dec 2014 12:46 - 53114 of 81564

I have a nice Omega that I bought in the 1970s. It runs on a tuning fork, which you can hear with an ear to the case. It keeps perfect time and I still use it every day. It is chronometer rated.

goldfinger - 16 Dec 2014 12:49 - 53115 of 81564

Im with Stan.

If it sounds too good............. be very careful.

goldfinger - 16 Dec 2014 12:51 - 53116 of 81564

Funnily enough I have quite a few Omegas, surely they cant be worth anything.

Just slung them in a drawer when the strap snaped.

goldfinger - 16 Dec 2014 12:53 - 53117 of 81564

Smart that Hays. Very smart.

ExecLine - 16 Dec 2014 12:55 - 53118 of 81564

Here's a bracelet link to it. The consequent increased number of hits will probably make him put the price up though:

Fred1new - 16 Dec 2014 12:58 - 53119 of 81564

Be careful with what you do with Stan.

Chris Carson - 16 Dec 2014 12:58 - 53120 of 81564

Nice watch Hays, mine are mostly 1950/60's automatics and mechanical. A 1953 Bulova (mechanical) and a 1960's Zodiac.

goldfinger - 16 Dec 2014 13:03 - 53121 of 81564

Yep cheapos them Chris.

Woolworth watches.

Haystack - 16 Dec 2014 13:04 - 53122 of 81564

Be careful, there are a lot of Raymond Weil watches out there that are fakes. Raymond Weil brought out that watch as a sort of copy for the Cartier Santos. Raymond Weil watches are very over rated as a watches. They have built up their brand with relentless advertising.

Chris Carson - 16 Dec 2014 13:05 - 53123 of 81564

Gf- Thought I was filtered knob head! :0)
