Thanks for all the comments about my guess for last month winning this competition. In all the excitement, I have forgotten to look at my crystal ball for June, how bizarre and pathetic! Mind you, if ajren's rules were to apply, I would have been disqualified from entering about a year ago!

little woman - 01 Jun 2004 09:03 - 534 of 1685

The consensus view is 4280!

The number of entries for June (71) is down on the best month previously - April (73),
but the same as last month May (71). I also would like to welcome all the first timers taking part.

MoneyAm give the winner an excellent prize, so it'd be great if everyone could "have a go".

Entries are taken for the following month at any time up during the previous month and of course you can change it anytime
before the competition closes.

Congrats again to owl

Good luck everyone.

We dont take it seriously, we live in hope, who cares if we win it's just fun...
Good luck to you if you do take this seriously and I hope you win one day soon.

Hi AdieH,

Such an aggressive post.Who are WE,WE,WE ? I repeat : BIZARRE posters = FUN

FTSE is the essence of our work so virtually all competent investors should be
able, under normal circumstances,to give a reasonably accurate forecast for the next month i.e.ONE month.Bizarre figures for 2 consecutive months = incompetence

Blimmey you are one serious person arjen take a chill pill and try to enjoy this bulletin board. Does your life evolve around making money that much that you've lost your sense of humour, do you have one?

Iquite enjoy my life and enjoy trying to earn a little extra money from research and the good postings on these boards.

Take Care AdieH.

Hi AdieH

I have a great sense of humour.I suggest bizarre posters play Monopoly
and let the serious investors use FTSE.

You say WE ? Who are WE ? How many posters do you represent ?

AdieH - 01 Jun 2004 18:35 - 541 of 1685

If you care to read numerous previous postings alot of people treat this thread as abit of fun. Anyway lets agree to disagree.

I only invest what I can afford to lose so I dont take too seriously, started last year and so far have made profit so this keeps me happy if I lose then so be it. I can't see into the future so who knows if i'll keep making money, just thankful to some useful tips gathered here and on other boards.

Regards

AdieH.

Time to stop trifling then..

A man is wandering through the desert. He hasn't had any water for
days and is dying of thirst. To his amazement, he comes across
three market stalls set up in the desert.

He crawls up to the first one. "Water, water! Give me water!" he
cries. "I'm sorry," says the first stall holder, "I sell nothing but
custard."

The man crawls up to the second stall. "Water, water! Give me
water!" he cries. "I'm sorry," says the second stall holder, "I sell
nothing but cream and sponge."

The man crawls up to the third stall. "Water, water! Give me water!"
he cries. "I'm sorry," says the third stall holder, "I sell nothing but
hundreds and thousands."

"I can't believe none of you has any water," says the man. "I
know," says the third stall holder, "it is a trifle bazaar"

Reuters says FTSE bouncing back as oversold due to S.A.Opinions ?
Perhaps some serious investors might like to discuss the FTSE on a regular
basis.

Your missing the point arjen, i think most people would agree that this is a fun thread and nothing serious that is why I am using the "we" rather than the I. If most people dont agree with my view then I will change to I.
Regards AdieH.
