Dixon of Dock Green -- i (just) remember that. I remember being allowed to stay up to watch the 8 o'clock news with the signature of the Ally Pally aerial and the radio waves radiating outwards . . .

Do any of you crowd remember BT? That's "Before Television" for the uninitiated. What I shall never forget is the Ovaltinies on 208 Radio Luxemburg.

So much for the past and now for the present. My present is the biggest sherry trifle the universe has ever seen so I will just dive in and get eating.
