THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

"Haystack - 18 Dec 2014 20:39 - 53319 of 53333

There is a lot of stuff about Dolphin Square. I lived in the next street, St Georges Square, and drank in the bar at Dolphin Square most evenings in the early 80s. I had a lot of friends who lived in DS, but never heard of anything funny going on. David Steel had a flat there as dozens of other MPs. I used to drink regularly with Lord Long, who was the Conservative whip in the Lords. There was plenty of heterosexual goings on, but no funny stuff that I came across. I knew of a handful of MPs who kept mistresses there."

I have no idea about Leon Brittan. I doubt it would affect the current parties as it is all historic.

cynic - 19 Dec 2014 14:35 - 53412 of 81564

it seems workhouses, having been established at the end of 14th century, were not finally abolished until 1948!

goldfinger - 19 Dec 2014 14:35 - 53413 of 81564

I wonder if the MET would be interested in the above details given by Hays.

Any thoughts Fred?????

Do you think this statement from Hays would help the police out???????

Certainly seems to know the crack at that time.

Used to drink regularly with them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haystack - 19 Dec 2014 14:36 - 53414 of 81564

He's not the Messiah

goldfinger - 19 Dec 2014 14:37 - 53415 of 81564

But Hays if Maggie knew what was going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

goldfinger - 19 Dec 2014 14:37 - 53416 of 81564

Hays trying to change the topic.

Haystack - 19 Dec 2014 14:39 - 53417 of 81564

Just wait and see. Being arrested is not an indication of much. It is a procedural process to question someone.

hilary - 19 Dec 2014 14:41 - 53418 of 81564

Will Leon Brittan be OK to play for Swansea this weekend?

MaxK - 19 Dec 2014 14:42 - 53419 of 81564

Attempted murder or not?

goldfinger - 19 Dec 2014 14:45 - 53423 of 81564

cynic - 19 Dec 2014 14:47 - 53424 of 81564

you should have been paying attention and you could have made some decent money on dow :-)

Haystack - 19 Dec 2014 14:47 - 53425 of 81564

My drinking friends were just normal people living there, no MPs.

Fred1new - 19 Dec 2014 14:52 - 53426 of 81564

Well, I would like to know how much Theresa knows.
