RTD - Why? (RTD)

Nitefly - 15 Sep 2003 10:55

Why are we again at 10.5p bid?

It doesn't add up...

Good Results + Strong buying pre results + Christmas online buying soon = Price drop

Then again some companies that have debt for equity hanging in the balance, poor results and bankruptcy around the corner and they go up!

Why sell now at a loss?

Wont that be a kick in the teeth when we see 13.5p 14p again!

Best of luck all.

I see resistance at 22p and 28-30p. RTD has broken through latest resistance so is looking good to hit these marks or move close toward it this year. I do think we may see these marks hit by March if not sooner.
I have based the aboove on the graph from 2001 onward.
Anyone else with technical views or disagreeing with my analysis are welcome.

Wish that I had bought more than I did when they were under 10p

Happy with my profits & gathering more cash to top up.

Javidshaik :- Ref RTD I first bought 1000's worth @ 240ish in mar/apr 2000 sold @ 385 Made 600/60% in a week. I had not long been trading at the time and was very pleased.
Last bought them in July 2003 @ 10.5, was worth the waite me thinks!

javidshaik - 15 Jan 2004 15:46 - 540 of 2406

chartist2004: so you are back for another slice now eh!
i think we can expect a bit of profit taking this evening and tomorrow with short term day traders but to everyone who holds RTD, hold on to them tight for the time being. I think we will see much more upside to come.

Tokyo - 16 Jan 2004 09:53 - 541 of 2406

Does anyone know what date in March the results will be published?

apple - 16 Jan 2004 10:01 - 542 of 2406

Last year was 11th March so I expect a similar date.

Up nearly 4.5% so far this morning.

Isnt it funny how far good news can travel in a short time. Speaking on the phone to my friend in Spain today (I work in the IT industry and he works in the financial industry), he initiated the conversation and was raving about RTD's outlook and how his colleagues were going to invest in to this massive potential company.
Another good day with RTD and generally on the markets.
Have a good weekend everyone.

biffa18 - 19 Jan 2004 08:49 - 548 of 2406

Hi
lots of activity this morning did it get write up over weekend or is this just a continuation from last weeks momentum either way more money in my pocket this is looking like 20/25p on the cards soon :-))

washlander - 19 Jan 2004 10:00 - 549 of 2406

This share spiked at 365.66 in 2000 and finished around the 1.00 mark at the end of 2002. With the rise in internet shopping and broadband taking such a hold, it is no wonder there is such speculation with this company. The potential for growth seems very good. Does anybody have an idea of the PE ratio of this company within the sector at todays prices. Many thanks in advance.

Fundamentalist - 19 Jan 2004 12:52 - 550 of 2406

Washlander,

some quick and dirty figures (all based on share price of 17.75p)

2002 profit was 2.02m with an EPS of 0.48p per share and a historical PE of 37
2003 profit - analysts consensus forecast a profit of 4.7m with an EPS of 1.14p per share and a forward PE ratio of 15.6.
However, 21st Nov trading statement said second half profits would be higher than first half profits which were 2.8m.
hence on a profit of 5.6m, EPS of 1.36p and a PE ratio of 13.1
on a profit of 6m, EPS is 1.46p and a PE Ratio of 12.2
on a profit of 7m (now I'm dreaming), EPS is 1.70p and a PE ratio of 10.5

If you take the worse case scenario of a profit of 4.7m then an EPS of 15.6 doesn't look overly demanding for a company with the growth potential of RTD. My personal opinion is that profits will be between 5.5m and 6.0m (based on the nov update) giving a PE of 12 - 13 which I believe undervalues the company.

Hence I still expect to see further increases once the results are announced.
Normal caveats apply - all IMHO and DYOR if you are going to buy/sell these shares

apple - 19 Jan 2004 13:01 - 551 of 2406

Thanks for that Fundamentalist

Douggie - 19 Jan 2004 13:50 - 552 of 2406

Thanks to all in this thread for keeping me in this one for so long but I sold this am. Its an interesting stock tho' and I will no doubt buy again - knowing my luck at higher prices !

Fundamentalist - 19 Jan 2004 14:39 - 554 of 2406

Caleydog

Out of interest, why did you choose to sell today? I am holding this for the long term but it would be interesting to know the rationale behind any sales.
