Dixon of Dock Green -- i (just) remember that. I remember being allowed to stay up to watch the 8 o'clock news with the signature of the Ally Pally aerial and the radio waves radiating outwards . . .

Little Woman - the weather's better now isn't it? Brighter and
happier all round!! (I finished the dreaded tax return yesterday
and sent it off today, so doubly happy for me today!!)

Poochy = tell that ghost he's not allowed in the ladies please, he
keep materialising in the bowl and it's very off-putting!!!!!

Just got in from cutting the grass. Lawn looks like a billiard table. A nice cup of tea and a cream bun will go down very nicely now.

Must be catching this desire to cut grass!!!

Jolly good day for my portfolio today, what a whizz.

Finished the grass marathon, cut mine and my elderly neighbours two lawns. Then just for good measure I replaced a rotten fence post, easy until it came to removing the concrete at the base. Why didn't they have metal fenceing spikes some 30 years back! All done now, why isn't my portfolio as productive!!

What-ho all, loved the nostalgia trip, I remember Brian Blessed made his name in Z cars and as an ex-filth it wasn't a bad prog.

Radio Luxumberg heard via a cats whisker through a crystal set, Horace Batchelor promising that he'd guarantee we'd all win the Pools from his little house in Keynsham...what fabulous marketing that was!! Quite illegal today of course, he must have died a wealthy man.

Can almost hear the sound of the great UK motor mower marathon all trhe way over here in a beautiful hot & sunny winter SA, difference being all the lawns here [there are acres and acres of them, locally they're called 'fairways!] are
all cut for us. No satisfaction in that eh??!!

Jeffmack, did you recieve Hils 'Ron Atkinson' joke? Fabulous or what? They don't take long to come out do they.

Opto enjoy the wedding and the bridesmaids providing they're over 16 yrs.

Snoball, has your lawn got six big pockets round the edges? Probably where Bunnywunny's been digging.
