Socrates - 24 Apr 2004 08:49 - 5366 of 23498

Good morning opto'. Enjoy the wedding and don't eat too much cake.

I'm off to a Family History Fair in Gloucester and it's a lovely, sunny day here.

jeffmack - 24 Apr 2004 09:10 - 5367 of 23498

I'm off to the garden show at the Hop Farm

little willie - 24 Apr 2004 09:26 - 5368 of 23498

What-ho all, loved the nostalgia trip, I remember Brian Blessed made his name in Z cars and as an ex-filth it wasn't a bad prog.

Radio Luxumberg heard via a cats whisker through a crystal set, Horace Batchelor promising that he'd guarantee we'd all win the Pools from his little house in Keynsham...what fabulous marketing that was!! Quite illegal today of course, he must have died a wealthy man.

Can almost hear the sound of the great UK motor mower marathon all trhe way over here in a beautiful hot & sunny winter SA, difference being all the lawns here [there are acres and acres of them, locally they're called 'fairways!] are
all cut for us. No satisfaction in that eh??!!

Jeffmack, did you recieve Hils 'Ron Atkinson' joke? Fabulous or what? They don't take long to come out do they.

Opto enjoy the wedding and the bridesmaids providing they're over 16 yrs.

Snoball, has your lawn got six big pockets round the edges? Probably where Bunnywunny's been digging.

All the rest enjoy the weekend.

snoball - 24 Apr 2004 09:46 - 5369 of 23498

That's a good idea little willie!! I'll have a word with the gardener.

Golddog - 24 Apr 2004 12:54 - 5370 of 23498

Well done Lord Hightone, he takes the lead in the Investment Game.

Remember that next weekend players may trade one of their stocks with only one month to go!
I myself will not be making any changes! :-)

Bunny, Who said that Ghosty was a he? could be a she! I think it depends on the situation in hand? It's a variable Ghost. :-)

What with all this nostalgia memories, do any of you remember the dinosaurs? just asking!
:-)

Been trying to remember what they call the adult bridesmaid;
"Maid of Honour" thats the one to get round the back of the marquee after a few glasses of 'Cristal'.......

Evil minds at work or what?
I don't do weddings myself, hate 'em; funerals now their a different matter..

Socrates - 24 Apr 2004 14:56 - 5373 of 23498

Dinosaurs, I quite like them, can't eat a whole one though!

optomistic - 24 Apr 2004 21:44 - 5374 of 23498

Great Wedding loads of good food etc. Nice bridesmaids Little Willie, but gave up that age group some while ago. Nice setting for the event on the outskirts of York it was a shame that the Hotel seemed to be charging ''150% VAT'' on the drinks, which probably made it a slightly healthier day for most!!
Have a hot chocolate GD please and then an early night.

jeffmack - 25 Apr 2004 08:46 - 5376 of 23498

The sun has got his hat on, hip hip hip hoorah

stockbunny - 25 Apr 2004 08:54 - 5377 of 23498

Ah another one who can't sleep in on a Sunday!!!
Morning Jeffius Mackius!!
So what's on your agenda today????

((See someone has sussed out my bunny digging habits, glad you
removed those concrete posts Opto, sick of bashing my head on them,
at least with metal spikes, I can pick them up on radar!))

Started the battle with the hedge yesterday, round two today,
I'd like to think I'm winning but there's still a lot of it left to
cut!!!

Danish with tea please......(Poochy if that ghost is female, I'm
seriously worried!!)

jeffmack - 25 Apr 2004 08:57 - 5378 of 23498

bunny
I'm just going to mooch around the garden while the wife is out at work.

stockbunny - 25 Apr 2004 09:10 - 5379 of 23498

Sounds a good idea - certainly better than my on-going
war with the hedge!!! Enjoy your mooching!

little willie - 25 Apr 2004 09:54 - 5380 of 23498

Morning all from a sun smashed Winelands. Hit Franschoek last night [The French Connection] nice eatery now the tourists have gone.

Today we've a golf tourno. followed by a dinner so think a cuppa is all I'll have.
Now officially in winter so mrs.lw has to have her porridge with dark sugar.
Nowt so queer as folk, the fact that we'll have 30 degrees means nothing, its winter so its porridge!

Enjoy your mooch Jeffers, you ought to try whittling???

Bunnywunny, why not 'hedge' your bets and invite a chippendale around to do yours for you? You never know his name might be Warren [in the buffet] or Brer!

Socrates - 25 Apr 2004 13:31 - 5381 of 23498

Today Socco has been to a boot fair where I bought no boots. I've also been to an antique fair where I bought no antiques. This doesn't seem fair somehow, so I'll think about going to a sherry trifle fair, that should break the mould.

hightone - 25 Apr 2004 13:35 - 5382 of 23498

vasey - 25 Apr 2004 14:16 - 5383 of 23498

Hi folks.... I'm amazed all you guys appear to have ignored a post from a virgin lady poster to our establishment......welcome dotel! I met this addict in a seedy bar in Salford last week......and suggested she came down from the lofty heights of The Traders' Room and tried slumming it at Poochy's Palace. And none of you said 'hello!'

Lovely warm, bright day in London ..... but must go and do my homework before my evening course resumes on Tuesday. But I'm sure by the cut-off date I will have switched out of SMWH.....aaargh! What a horror!

optomistic - 25 Apr 2004 14:44 - 5384 of 23498

Bunny, got the answer to hedges: chainsaw!!
