THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

getting myself prepped to take a number of us on a good pub walk
it's only a couple of miles or so, but there's about 600 yards that is uphill at about 25% across the fields

half way round there's a truly delightful little church to visit with existing parts dating back to saxon times

Fred1new - 24 Dec 2014 09:15 - 53683 of 81564

And the message from Con party Central Office

MaxK - 24 Dec 2014 09:24 - 53684 of 81564

Good one Fred.

cynic - 24 Dec 2014 09:24 - 53685 of 81564

as usual, can't be arsed with your stuff fred, but nevertheless enjoy yourself with your family
perhaps go mad and splash out more than £10 on a few bottles of something respectable to drink

MaxK - 24 Dec 2014 09:27 - 53686 of 81564

Don't be such a pooper c, that McVey effort is good stuff :-)

cynic - 24 Dec 2014 09:30 - 53687 of 81564

Chris Carson - 24 Dec 2014 09:33 - 53688 of 81564

Typical Red Fred (Welsh Txxt) Christmas Eve and still banging the drum for the Loony Left :0)

Stan - 24 Dec 2014 09:39 - 53689 of 81564

Last poll of the year........

YouGov/Sun: CON 32%, LAB 36%, LDEM 6%, UKIP 16%, GRN 5%

ExecLine - 24 Dec 2014 09:43 - 53691 of 81564

Hmmm? Why do they call them 'mince pies' when there isn't any mince in them?

Here's a good deal if anyone wants to learn how to drive sideways:

Groupon.co.uk: Lasts for 6 months after purchase: Drifting techniques such as doughnuts and figures of eight are taught by experienced instructors over 15 laps at a choice of two raceways

Chris Carson - 24 Dec 2014 09:43 - 53692 of 81564

Bang on cue Fred's lady boy (gf...etc) the physco of the threads.

Oh..... Happy Christmas everyone and fingers crossed for a prosperous New Year :0)

goldfinger - 24 Dec 2014 09:54 - 53695 of 81564

ahhhhhhh this is boring this market, supposed to be one of the best days of the year and its dead this year. I reckon everyones had a early spending binge this year and are awaiting boxing day for bargains, same here on the market.

Might start to get pissed myself. Bored silly.

goldfinger - 24 Dec 2014 09:57 - 53696 of 81564

And Ill tell you this, Im fed up already with the crap on TV and all this tinsel and green stuff, christmas trees and borbels and silly silver decorations are getting on my tits.

Bring back normal times.

Shortie - 24 Dec 2014 10:43 - 53697 of 81564

Its all about the kids GF... For me once everyone's sorted a good vape, cold beer and some Clash of Clans..

Fred1new - 24 Dec 2014 11:22 - 53698 of 81564

I think Cynic is a perfect representative of the present tory party of idiots.

He doesn't read the information before him but is able to comment on content.

A really remarkable ability, similar to Haze and the present out of touch cabal roosting in Downing street.

------

As far as wine is concerned, my taste is poor, would not enjoy the price you are prepared to pay for it.

I see wine as an accompaniment to food and the conversation which goes with it, if they are good, for me it is simply and added lubrication for others and I don't need the prestige gained by boasting about the price of the wine we are drinking. Perhaps, my origins may be in French peasantry, not their aristocracy.

But, saying that, I am going to open and decant a bottle of port I bought 45 years ago this Xmas. I hope it is good.

Actually, I think I was given a case, and told to keep it. Can't remember for how long though.

============

Anyway, Happy Xmas to all and a resilient New Year.
