How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Scrip, a bit more info about Leaguepad.... database seems good and I've been able to extract at what time the goals were scored in each match in the premiership (and so score at half-time & final score). It also looks like I can download data for the previous three seasons, so that should give me plenty to work with.

Looking at the Liverpool game tonight I'm tempted to leave it til half time and hope for 0-0. Liverpool seem to come on in the second half so I'll hopefully back them at better odds. Will listen to the game though to see how they are performing.

You may consider looking at the options available across the market. You have a to quality market as well as the match odds. Usually a good bet. I notice the liquidity is poor on the qualify market at the moment though. Will wait till just before the match starts.

Scrip,
I take it you mean the 9.4 currently offered on Liverpool to win the Cup

Hmm, Looking at the match. Liverpool have come into 1.26!!!
I thought they were a little skinny before, Now very very skinny.
Watford will set up shop at the back and hope to catch Liverpool on the break. Because its over two legs I suspect Watford will try and disrupt Liverpool and kick them about a bit to try and return to Vicarage road with a chance of turning them over. Will watch with interest.

Hmm, I backed them at 1.28 over an hour ago, and the odds are steadily lengthening.
But I'm sure they'll score a goal soon!!

Might have a small wager on Watford at these odds the way the match is going

I've been wondering about that as well. Then remembered the Newcastle/Yeading (who??) match the other day, which came out right once the teams had changed ends and Newcastle had the benefit of a following wind! (That was my theory, anyway.)

Probably worth using some "spare" money to back Watford or the draw. You never know. Quite big odds available and Watford aint playing bad.

Hi, Good Morning,
I read several times the expression 'Greened up'. Can anyone please explain what it means.
Many thanks
