MEDICAL MARKETING Joint Venture

We recently highlighted Medical Marketing (MMG) as worthy of attention. The company, in which I have a personal share holding, has this morning announced the formation of a joint venture, Genvax, to develop a novel DNA vaccine platform technology.

Human trials have been underway since 2001 in areas such as Lymphoma and Myeloma but the technology has broad applications in cancer, viral and bacterial infections (hence the term platform). The technology works on boosting the immune system by teaching it to identify hard to recognise cancer proteins as foreign and destroy them. Early results from the 25 patient trial in lymphoma are encouraging and evaluation of the result is expected by March 2005. Successful results should mean big pharmaceutical groups will start to take financial and commercial interests around that time.

This looks to be the first of a series of announcements due from Medical Marketing as it has a range of predominantly cancer trials moving into the clinical stage. (news flow could push the price higher)

The stock has made good progress in recent sessions up to the mid-80p level where the company is valued at just under 40 million. ENDS.

Moving up strongly now on no news except for a report that Kings College is developing a new diabetes treatment today...I expect a big rise this Friday..

Difficult to decide whether to add or not, genvax good and it will fly, if not back to a quid? Anyone got any inside info? Is continued rise in sp speculation or knowledge? Why did I sell 20% of my holding for less than 1?????????

Has MMG any connection to the piece in today's Times---a complete cure for diabetes has resulted in patients treated with pancreatic cells transplanted from 3 donors.Treatment at Kings College hospital---exciting results hope it is MMG.

Big volumes today, I think something is brewing.
I really beleive we could see 2 on the 18th.
These volume have been generated by something... any idea's ?

If this present run continues to the 18th I reckon we may reach a high of 240p or more.. we are in uncharted waters now with a new high reached today (I think) compared to 2001.I feel we may add another 100p from here in quick time to around 240p ;theres plenty of momentum behind it now so anything is possible..watch out for buying friday..

Lets just stay calm. Theres nothing in todays increase in price I dont feel, although they did say on Yorkshire TV (ITV 7PM ) say that Queens College Oxford was behind the Diabetes news.
