I know a little (through others) about how the average nhs hospital and it's staff run things.

Not very well in most cases, with absolute stunning pig headedness being the order of the day.

To be honest, my French gets me through on a day by day basis, but there are certain aspects of it that I really do struggle with sometimes. I'm still at the stage where I mentally have to translate to English and then back into French again. I'm told there's a point where, one day, it all falls into place and flows naturally, at which point you no longer need to translate back and forth, but I don't know that I can be bothered to wait that long.

David Cameron still more trusted on NHS than Ed Miliband, survey shows

Voters still trust David Cameron more than Ed Miliband on the NHS, despite Labour having made the health service the main focus of its campaigning since the summer, a survey shows.

The ComRes poll shows that 22% say the prime minister is the party leader they most trust to manage the NHS, while 20% name the Labour leader.

Another way of putting it....

58% don't trust either Cameroon or Millibandus.

A piece in one of my financial comics says that Gordon Brown is not too far away from becoming Chairman of RBS.

After the May election he will no longer be an MP and will need something to do.

Funnily enough, Royal Bank of Scotland will be needing a new chairman, since Sir Philip Hampton will be switching to GlaxoSmithKline late in 2015.

Brown's CV looks right and he knows about finance (Yes? Yes!) and he is Scottish which should help with this particular bank. He can turn around dire situations and also play the long game (eg, against Tony Blair). RBS also owes him a favour after he rode to the rescue in 2009.

In fact, he is very near the absolute perfect match for the job!

Go to a local respected butcher with a reputation for making good stamp pies.

And dont be fooled if they are competition winners the pies they put out for customers are no way as good as the pies they make for medals.
