It certainly looks interesting but it takes a brave man to go long in this market. Added to watch list and will dive in once I see some signs of stability in the mkts, which according to the charts is anytime soon but still waiting for the US to come back en masse from eating Turkey next week

niceonecyril - 26 Nov 2007 08:58 - 55 of 544

Due to a mix up on my account, missed the openind trade in th 36p's, waited for
the usual 8 30am pull back, wrong, now at 39p? Still on the bright side, what i have
is doing fine.

Placing at 36p to raise £12.5m(before expences) , now thats confidence, in this climate and time of the year.

niceonecyril - 20 Dec 2007 12:59 - 61 of 544

here's some unpublished news for you guys .....

Encore Oil have just done a placing and a couple of brokers have come up with very bullish notes on it suggesting it could be worth double the current share price.

not my research but from a solid source

niceonecyril - 20 Dec 2007 18:05 - 64 of 544

Well here's the reason for all the activity, our 50% partner STAR has been taken over.

I wonder if they have their eyes on EO.

scotinvestor - 21 Dec 2007 07:11 - 65 of 544

i knew about that placing the other day.....it just gave the share price a base thats all.

as for brokers, well they aint much use or else they neednt have to work if they were that good

yip, more than doubled my money in just over a month......if it doubles again then that means my money has quadrupled.....nae bad i suppose!

cynic - 21 Dec 2007 07:46 - 66 of 544

i don't disagree with what you say about brokers, but their ruminations affect the share price ..... more to the point , they buy or sell for their funds or clients accordingly

gbrown100 - 21 Dec 2007 09:12 - 67 of 544

Appreciate your input Cynic, am wavering on selling now or hanging on to see what happens. I bought a ridiculously small holding of these at 15p that it is not worth me selling part to cover costs - this co was my first foray into the world of shares.

Darradev - 21 Dec 2007 09:17 - 68 of 544

Morning 'gb'. If this was your first foray into shares, well done indeed !!

Like you I am looking to realise the profits, but feel there is still some mileage here.

Festive greetings to one and all.

niceonecyril - 21 Dec 2007 09:43 - 69 of 544

Agree with Darradev,a lot of mileage yet. If someone,s was happy buy out Star it can only give a big thumbs up to EO. .
Scot it would have been nice if you'd shared that info with us?

cynic - 21 Dec 2007 16:50 - 70 of 544

i don't think the news of a placing would have made me buy .... would it you?

Mr B .... i concur with Darradev - i think there is still plenty of upside ..... once (if?) sp reaches say 55 then consider again, but even at that point there could easily be more fuel in the tank ...... however a trailing stop might then be prudent
