Desire Petroleum are drilling in Falklands (DES)

free hit countersDesire Petroleum

<>Desire Petroleum plc (Desire) is a UK company listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) dedicated to exploring for oil and gas in the North Falkland Basin.

Desire has recently completed a 6 well exploration programme. The Liz well encountered dry gas and gas condensate at 2 separate levels while other wells recorded shows.
Together with the Rockhopper Exploration Sea Lion oil discovery in the licence to the north, these wells have provided significant encouragement for the potential of the North Falkland Basin. The oil at Sea Lion is of particular interest as this has demonstrated that oil is trapped in potentially significant quantities in a fan sandstone on the east flank of the basin. It is believed that over 50% of this east flank play fairway is on Desire operated acreage.

Desire has now completed new 3D seismic acquisition which provides coverage over the east flank play, Ann, Pam and Helen prospects. The results from fast-track processing of priority areas are provided in the 2011 CPR. A farm-out to Rockhopper has been announced. The revised equities are shown on the licence map (subject to regulatory approval and completion of the farm-in well).

Eddie use "xpertrader "( excellent Kagi plots) and "Updata Technical analysis". Yes i do use "Candles" as well as "Point and Figure". And about 15 other indicators EMA, RSI, OBV, MACD, Fib arcs etc. Spend at least 2 hrs a day studying TA, have loads to learn.

Regards stephen

Thanks for that momentum.

Yes I have Renco, Kagi, Point & figure & others. I feel candles are best for me at the moment, although the Kagi looks fairly easy to undrestand. I feel charting is the way for me, you get loads of information from them.

Kind Regards

Eddie

No just a waiting game at the moment but am sure the wait will provide good reading when it does come and JP slant on things was a good read with FOGL may be getting the rig after Desire.

eddieshare - 26 Jan 2005 19:24 - 552 of 6492

Hi all

Looks like we are getting support at 0.59 / 0.60p again. It's good that this support is holding out. When the news breaks the bears will not be able to hold back the bulls. Volume will be much stronger also. These support levels are good places to set your stop loss. If you remember 0.55p was a bit difficult to go through. So if things get tough you might want to remeber these prices which were difficult to go through. The market is sitting in anticipation at the moment. If you look at the 10 day moving average (red line) it has just gone through the 20 DMA (blue line) This is a dead cross. When it comes back through it's a golden cross. So this is a great time to buy. Look back on the charts. Every time the red comes up through the blue there is a big moove up !

Hi markymar

Thanks for letting us use your nose, parrot & crystal ball. Without these the charts could mean anything. Good news flow is very important when deciding to hold. Hope your feeding this parrot well !

HUSTLER - 27 Jan 2005 00:27 - 555 of 6492

some people are losing the plot on this one
bollocks to charts start a new thread on charts if
you're so keen on them
this is a news driven stock, it only stands me at 30p
a lot of others are waiting for paybck from 1998 over 4.00
charts are meaningless in this case , hype and news drives it
long standing suporters myself included
are waiting for news which should not be far off
partners are what we want soon
then stick the pipe in the ground if water comes out
we are all knackered, if black gold
is found no need for a pension
only time will tell

regards HUSTLER

eddieshare - 27 Jan 2005 07:38 - 556 of 6492

Hi Hustler

It takes all kinds to make the world go round. I'm not sugesting the charts are making the stock go up. The charts are an indicator of the stock markets feelings on any particular stock. If people are not wanting charts then I'll not post them. The charts are open for discussion. I very much agree the news will drive DES up when they announce partners / funding ect. News will be here soon.

Kind Regards

Eddie

From Behindtheline on iii

Occasionally on the board and ADVFN - rumour that the UK Gov may be involved as some sort of driver or backer of FI exploration. BGS are helping with marketing.... I just found out that HMS Endurance has side scan sonar. Would the gov allow her to be used for site survey?

What does it mean if not in the oil game?

It is normal to acquire a site survey for the following reasons:

1. Ensure no natural sea floor obstructions, canyons or anything else are present that might interfere with placement of anchors, anchor chains and subsea equipment like blow out preventers.
2. Ensure there are no shallow pocket of gas near the sea floor that could cause a blow out in the top-hole section, which is normally drilled without casing or blow-out preventers in place.
3. Check for pipelines, wrecks, other artificial debris.
4. The whole point is to protect the rig from disaster.

Only when a site survey has been carried out can a rig come and drill, this does not mean that it has been done but is intresting point.

Eddie keep up the hard work

Regards

Markymar
