Well if Liverpool win tomorrow against the Saints...heuuu...I do I put it...they might be then in Lallana land...

Who's calling who dirty !.....all because one or two bad tackles went nastily wrong.....oh alright call it two dozen....

Dil - 19 Jan 2017 10:07 - 5410 of 6918

Chelsea were just as dirty as Leeds especially Harris and Charlie Cooke.

Dil - 19 Jan 2017 10:12 - 5411 of 6918

The 1970 FA Cup final and replay would have both ended up as 5 a side matches if they had been played under today's rules.

Chris Carson - 19 Jan 2017 10:30 - 5412 of 6918

LOL!! Charlie Cook was a player. Chopper Harris was an assasin, just like Tommy Smith the latter known as a 'Dockers Hook' Neither of those so called hard men could get anywhere near George Best.

Dil - 19 Jan 2017 10:45 - 5413 of 6918

Player my arse he was a thug.

David Webb was another one of their dirty gits.

Joe Say - 20 Jan 2017 10:52 - 5414 of 6918

Like Leeds were angels !!!!

Stan - 20 Jan 2017 13:29 - 5415 of 6918

Webb was and is a most repulsive bod on and off the field.

Dil - 20 Jan 2017 18:31 - 5416 of 6918

I didn't say Leeds were angels but watch the two games and Chelsea were as bad if not worse.

They kicked Eddie Gray off the pitch at Wembley and I don't think he could play in the replay.

Hudson was another dirty git but often did it on the sly.

Stan - 20 Jan 2017 22:18 - 5417 of 6918

Both teams had some horrible players from memory.

Dil - 21 Jan 2017 09:08 - 5418 of 6918

Nah , Leeds were just misunderstood :-)

2517GEORGE - 21 Jan 2017 10:23 - 5419 of 6918

Billy Bremner was a pussycat, yeah right.

Chris Carson - 21 Jan 2017 11:02 - 5420 of 6918

Misunderstood yard dogs LOL!!

ExecLine - 21 Jan 2017 11:41 - 5421 of 6918

Norman Hunter used to hold Billy Bremner's hand, didn't he?

Chris Carson - 21 Jan 2017 15:24 - 5422 of 6918

Would that be Norman 'bites yer legs' Hunter, or was that another misguided myth Dil? :0)

Stan - 21 Jan 2017 20:30 - 5423 of 6918

It was Hunter who effectively ended Frank Casper's career.

Chris Carson - 21 Jan 2017 22:13 - 5424 of 6918

Can't fault the fans, noisy bastards LOL!!!

Dil - 22 Jan 2017 11:31 - 5425 of 6918

Bet you didn't complain when he played for England.

Dil - 22 Jan 2017 11:34 - 5426 of 6918

Anyway back in the real world and 2017 has been kind to Cardiff with three wins from three probably for the first time in four years.

ExecLine - 22 Jan 2017 11:43 - 5427 of 6918

Rooney smashed a truly stunning 'record making' free kick in extra time to level the match and thereby give United a point against Stoke.

Because it needed to be so accurately made to actually score, commentators are saying the kick should perhaps have been a cross instead of a shot.

It was so obviously a shot, that we additionally have to realise it as such, and add further praise to Rooney's utter class and skills with the dead ball, IMHO.

Bobby Charlton's record of 249 goals as leading goal scorer for the team had stood for more than 40 years. No doubt Rooney will add to his new tally of 250 goals scored for Manchester United. I do hope some of the ones we are undoubtedly yet to see are as good as this one.
